They returned to Salt Lake Monday where they plan to visit until Wednesday. Cpl. Bolton will report to Ft. Warden, Washington, where he and Mrs. Bolton will make their home for the present. Mrs. Vilate Hartle Bolton of Glendale, California, arrived home Tuesday to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartle Har-tle and her husband, Cpl. Leland G. Bolton who is home on furlough. fur-lough. She returned to California Californ-ia and Cpl. Bolton reported to Camp Bowie, Texas, where he ( will be stationed. Garr has just returned from serving seven months in the Aleutian Islands, Mrs. Lola Penfold Clark of Bancroft, Idaho, is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Penfold of Leeton. Jay Clark, 1 husband of Mrs. Clark, . was home on furlough recently. He has been stationed at Alabama. His brother, Jerry, was also home. Jerry has been stationed in Kentucky. Mr. and Mrs. John G. Bolton, Cpl. and Mrs. Leland G. Bolton, and Cpl. and Mrs. Raymond Bolton, Bol-ton, visited their grand parents at Naples Wednesday at the I home of Mr. and Mrs. John Mc- iKowcn. Last Saturday evening, the MIA officers sponsored a program pro-gram and dance for Corporals Raymond and Garr Bolton before be-fore they left to resume their duties. A shower was given in honor of the newlyweds, Cpl. and Mrs. Raymond Bolton, and refreshments were served. ' Mr. and Mrs. Winifred Long! are the proud grandparents of a! grand son born March 13, to Mr. and Mrs. Dan Palmer. Mrs. Palmer Pal-mer is being cared for at the home of Mrs. Mellet Harmston in Roosevelt The Gold and Green Ball was a grand success. Miss Ora Ham-aker Ham-aker was crowned queen and the MIA dance was carried out by Elna Hartle, Wayne Haslem,. Ve-loy Ve-loy and Norman Long, Acel and Marie Haslem, Betty Harrison Harri-son and Larrane Bolton. Stake officers in attendance were: Hol-lis Hol-lis Hullinger, Mr. and Mrs. Bart-ley Bart-ley Hciner and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Nelson. Decoration committee: com-mittee: Adaline Hartle, Myrtle Sprouse and Audrey Taylor. Punch and cookies were served MIA officers of Ballard and a number of young folks attended. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartle and daughter, Elna, and Cpl. Garr Bolton, spent Thursday evening at the home of Mr. arid Mrs. Kenneth Hartle and family of LaPoint. They also visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kamaker were visiting Mr. Hamafcer's mother, Mrs. M. E. Hamaker, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Warner of Tooele were visiting Mrs. Hamaker also. Mrs. Ray Houston received word of the death of her mother, Mrs. Mary Swenson, of Taylors-ville, Taylors-ville, Utah. Mrs. Swenson died Thursday, March 16. Mr. and Mrs. John G. Bolton and sons, Larrane and Byron, were business visitors in Ft. Duchesne Du-chesne Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hall were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hartle Sunday at LaPoint. Mr. and Mrs. John G. Bolton entertained at a turkey dinner in honor of their sons and wives, Cpl. and Mrs. Raymond Bolton, Cpl. and Mrs. Garr Bolton. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hartle and daughter, Elna, also Miss Betty Harrison. Government ditch riders have been building head gates this week at Whiterocks and will start construction the first of next wek near Ft. Duchesne.
