Show BALLARD XVXXSX52SXSXSXSXS2X A most interesting program was given by the Relief Society of Ballard Friday, March 17. The program was as follows: Some of the men folks of the ward dressed dress-ed to impersonate the different members of the Relief Society officers and held a Relief Society meeting. Bishop Arthur Wiscombe Wis-combe took the part of president Fannie Todd, Arthur Wiscombe Jr., as Vida Betts, 1st counselor; Leland Angus, as Lila Bingham, 2nd counselor; Mark Angus as 'Julia Kettle, secretary; Russell j Todd as Mrs. Ray Labrum, work director; Cloyd Seeley as Osa Hullinger, music; and Bert Angus An-gus as Mrs. Manwaring; Mr. Manwaring as Mrs. Butcher, both teachers. It was very unique uni-que and lots of fun. The meeting was the work of Mrs. Azel Seeley. Seel-ey. The program continued with a talk, Fannie Todd, president; reading, Beatrice Lundberg; a song, Lurine and Lcnes Rasmu-sen; Rasmu-sen; mixed quartet, Leland and Minnie Angus, Mrs. Stolla, Art Wiscombe; reading, Mrs. Harold Womack; reading, Mrs. Amelia Cook; music, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Manwaring; jokes, Jess Hullinger; Hulling-er; musical reading, Mrs. Lila Bingham. Lunch was served to the large crowd present, The remainder re-mainder of the evening was spent in dancing. Ace McKinnon, the new fifth and sixth grade teacher and his family have moved into the Dee Allred home. Thomas Shisler and family have moved into this ward. They have purchased the Pepperd Seed place. Duane Bracken left Sunday for Washington where he has employment. He was accompanied accompan-ied as far as Salt Lake by Lois Betts, Edith Cook and his sister, Rhea Bracken. Mrs. Jenkins, whose knee cap was broken when she fell, is getting get-ting along as well as can be expected. ex-pected. A shower was given at the home of Mrs. Jennie Robinson for Fern Betts Milligan. Many lovely gifts were received. Mrs. Jess Hullinger spent the week end visiting her mother, who is very ill at Preston, Idaho. She returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Milligan have gone to Denver to spend a week with his parents before returning re-turning to his base in Arizona. Mrs. Milligan's sister, Miss Lucille Lu-cille Betts, will accompany them to Arizona. Mr. Shelley, secretary of the State Farm Bureau and Lyle Remington, president of the Uintah Uin-tah County Farm Bureau, held a meeting Monday night in an . attempt to induce more farmers to join the organization. 1 |
