Show National Forest Timber Sale Sealed bids will be received by the Regional Forester, Ogden, Utah, up to and including November No-vember 3, 1947, for all merchantable merchan-table dead timber standing and down and all live timber marked or designated for cutting on an area of approximately 163 acres with Section 19, T. 3 N., R. 1 W., Uintah Special Meridian, Farm Creek Mountain Chance No. 2, Farm Creek Compartment Compart-ment of the Whiterocks Working Circle, Ashley National Forest, Utah, estimated to be 1,840,000 feet b.m., more or less, of lodge-pole lodge-pole pine sawtimber, 160,000 feet b.m., more or less, of Engle-man Engle-man spruce sawtimber, and 300,-000 300,-000 linear feet, more or less, of-lodgepole of-lodgepole pine timber suitable for mine props. The appraised value of the timber according to long-term market and operating conditions is $2.50 per M feet b.m. of sawtimber and $2.50 per M linear feet of mine props. No bid will be considered which is less than those rates as a base rate applicable through the entire en-tire period of the sale agreement, plus at least $0.50 per M feet b. m. of sawtimber and $2.50 per M linear feet of mine props, the total to apply for all timber cut prior to April 1, 1950. On that date total rates will be redetermined re-determined but in no event will the redetermined stumpage rates be less than the basic appraised value as first above stated. In addition to making payments for stumpage the purchaser will be required to make an additional deposit of $.015 per M feet b.m. and per M linear feet for the total to-tal cut of sawtimber and mine prop timber, respectively, to be deposited into a cooperative work fund to pay for the cost of timber stand improvement work, and $0.10 per M feet b.m. and $0.15 per M linear feet for the ctotal cut of sawtimber and mine prop timber, respectively, to be deposited into a cooperative coopera-tive work fund to pay for the cost of slash disposal work. At the time of submitting bids, $300.00 payable to the Treasurer Treasur-er of the United States must accompany ac-company each bid, to be applied on the purchase price, refunded, or retained in part as liquidated damages according to the conditions condi-tions of the sale.
