Show Notice Of Gas And Oil Mining Lease Sale Under Sealed Bid, 2:00 O'clock P. M., May 23, 1947 Sealed bids will be received at the Uintah and Ouray Agency, Fort Duchesne, Utah, until '2:00 P. M., May 23, 1947, for Oil and Gas leases on the following described unit of Tribally owned own-ed Indian lands, located in the Uintah and Quray Indian Reservation) Reser-vation) in'Uuit'ah; Cgunty, State of Utah, to wit! All of Section 15, Township one (1) North, Range one (1) East, Uintah. Special Meridian in Utah, containing 640 acres, more or less as surveyed. The above lease is offered for a cash bonus in addition to the stipulated royalties and rental of $1.25 per acre per annum. The successful and responsible bidder for the above lease will be required re-quired to pay in advance an annual an-nual rental of $1.25 per acre, the cost of advertising and a filing fee of $5.00, when the lease is obtained and approved, A deposit of 20 per cent of the bonus bid and 20 per cent of the advance rental for the first year must accompany the bid and be in the form of a certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank payable to the Treasurer Trea-surer of the United States. No individual, corporation, partnership, company or association associa-tion shall be permitted to hold under leases for oil andor gas mining purposes, restricted allotted al-lotted or unallotted Indian lands m any one State in . excess of 10,240 acres in the aggregate: Provided, That the acreage leased leas-ed by any officer or director of a company shall be charged against the company, and vice versa, and the acreage shall also be charged in the case of stockholders stock-holders owning 40 or more per cent of the stock. The acreage of companies having common stockholders owning a majority of the stock of each company shall be charged against each other, or in the case such companies com-panies have one or more common com-mon officers or directors. In all other cases each corporation will be considered a separate and distinct dis-tinct entity. The Sale will be held and the lease executed in accordance with the Act of May 11, 1938 (52 Stat. 347) and the regulations approved May 31, 1938 (25 C. F. R., Part 186). Lease Form 5-157 (June, 1939) will be used, i Failure of the successful bidder bid-der to comply with the terms of sale and the regulations, will render his deposit liable to forfeiture for-feiture in the discretion of the Secretary of the Interior. Leases filed after 20 days from date of mailing to lessee for execution will be subject to revaluation of bonus, if permission is not granted grant-ed for an extension of time. Sales will be cancelled and deposits de-posits forfeited at the expiration of the 20-day filing period, unless un-less for good and sufficient reason, rea-son, an extension of the filing period is granted. The right is reserved by the Secretary of the Interior to reject re-ject any or all bids and to disapprove dis-approve any lease made on an accepted bid. Should any bid be rejected after deposit is made, through no fault of the bidder, all moneys deposited will be returned. re-turned. The term of the lease will be for 10 years from the date of approval by the Secretary Secre-tary of the Interior and as much longer thereafter as the substances sub-stances specified in the leases are produced In paying quantities. quanti-ties. The lessee must furnish a satisfactory sat-isfactory surety bond for each lease as required by the regulations, regula-tions, or lessee may file one bond (Form 5-154f, August 1940) in the sum of $15,000 covering up to 10,240 acres.
