Show Fort Ouchesno Mrs. Donna Burgess The Ft. Duchesne Parent-Teachers Parent-Teachers Association held its regular monthly meeting Monday Mon-day night. Officers elected for the coming year are Norman Holmes, president; William Sut-teer, Sut-teer, vice president; Willard Lott, treasurer; Mrs. George Bracken, secretary; Lorena Iorg, chairman of the program committee. It was decided at the meeting that a dance would be given Friday Fri-day evening. May 16, at the Ft. Duchesne school house and that the public would be invited. Plans were also made to take Kentucky Negro Minstrel," to Whiterocks, Saturday night. Ren Curry returned Monday from a two week's trip to Denver, Den-ver, Colorado. I Ed Faulkner, chief clerk of th Uintah and Ouray Indian agency, spent last week in Phoenix, Phoe-nix, Arizona. Evan Flory, from the Office of Indian Affairs in Chicago, and Wm. H. Berry, Regional Director Di-rector of Soil and Conservation for the Indian Agency, with headquarters head-quarters at Phoenix, Arizona, are at Ft. Duchesne this week attending to tribal business. Mrs. Flory came with her husband. Both are guests at the Club House. I Ernest L. Wilkerson, Claims I Attorney for the Utes. is here from the Washington, D. C. Office Of-fice of Indian Affairs, and John L. Boyden, General Attorney for the Utes, from the Salt Lake office, of-fice, is at Ft. Duchesne. Both are here to look after the Ute Indian tribal affairs. Supt. Grant Vest, Supervisor Ida Phillips and some board members visited Ft. Duchesne school, Friday. |
