Show litis - It '. at Time and time again it has been brought to my attention that it isn't necessary to know anything about a subject to find fault with it, but it does take knowledge of the subject to say , something nice about it. Never have I realized this more than after checking up on the Bendix automatic washer. I had heard how the Bendix used so much water and soap and didn't get the clothes clean, and had to have so much attention. None of the people who said this had a Bendix, but they had heard it said. To satisfy myself I went into J. V. McLea, Inc. who are the Duchesne county distributors distribu-tors for Bendix washers and this is the dope I got. For a person to obtain greatest satisfaction from a Bendix it should meet certain installation requirement?. Hot and cold water wa-ter must be connected directly to the machine, and there has to be a drain of some sort for elimination elim-ination of wash water. After the machine' has been installed the interesting part of washing begins. be-gins. You put in the clothes (up to nine pounds) turn the dial and the Bendix begins to fill itself with warm water. The clothes meanwhile are being gently tumbled. tum-bled. This is the soak period, where the clothes are thoroughly soaked while being tumbled. The machine then pumps the water out and shuts itself off. Then comes the next "difficult" "diffi-cult" task. You turn the dial once again and the machine begins be-gins to spin while filling with hot water. You add the two or three spoons of soap through an opening in the top and until you take the washed clothes from the machine your labor is done while you are doing other things the Bendix goes through the washing, three rinses, a spin drying and shuts itself off. With a Bendix there, is no wash day, because you find yourself running through a wash as the clothes are soiled and this doesn't take any more of your time per day than washing the breakfast dishes. McLea's gave me the names of some of the people in this area who own a Bendix automatic auto-matic washer and in checking with them they are all (and I mean all) highly satisfied and wouldn't go back to any other machine at any price. One lady told me she would give up anything, any-thing, even her husband, before she would give up her Bendix. Go into McLea's new appliance department and see this machine and have it explained to you. Adv. |
