Smith, of Manti, delivered the thoroughbred thorough-bred stalion, Kcarsargc, son of Man Of War, to the Gilbert Bcc-be Bcc-be ranch, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Les Shiner have sold their ranch to Leo Paige, of . Kamas. The Shiners are moving to Missoula, Montana. Mr. Paige also purchased the Jeff Wall Pl "Those from Altonah attending Seminary graduation exercises at Mt. Emmons, Sunday night were Arthur Timothy, Mr. and Mrs 'Gilbert Beebe and daughter daugh-ter Barbara. Barbara received a beautiful book "Nauvoo the . non-.itiful." from the Moon Lake Stake Board of Education. She was a winner in the oratorical contest. The book was presented bv the Seminary teacher, Ben , C. Gomra. Aldon Farnsworth, Earl Farns- worth and a Mr. Crandall. all of .' Karnas, visited at the home of I Mr, and Mrs. Lynn Farnsworth last weekend. George Berrett took the Alta-" Alta-" mor.t seniors on a trip to Logan, Thursday. Mrs. Berrett accom-L-panied them. Tony Flemetis and daughter, Helen, of Sunnyside Junction, visited friends in Altonah a few days last week. The Flemetis were former resident of Altonah. ! They stayed at the home of Mr. ' and Mrs. James Lconakis. Mrs. I Charles Kavros, of Price, accom-1 "' panied them to visit her daugh-' daugh-' ters, Mrs, Lconakis and Georgia Kavaos and son, Christ. Mrs. Mary Bowden and son, Louie, visited Monday in Ioka ' with Mr. and Mrs. Lee Anderson. The Special Interest group of ' the M. I. A. gave a Pioneer party Monday night, honoring all Al-- Al-- tonah pioneers. The evening was ' spent in displaying pioneer relics belonging .to Mrs. May R. Lam- bert, Mrs. Mary J. Powell, Mrs. . Thora Timothy and Mrs. Ilez Ames. . A hot supper was served, fea- turing pioneer dishes. Mrs. Minnie Maxf ield returned return-ed home, Wednesday, from a 6 weeks' visit with her daughter, TUTrc TVTilHo ."P.ncct in PacfaHo ; Locks. Oregon. Mrs. Anna Murray, of Myton. visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Murray, Thusday. Mr. and Mrs. William Ralphs and Mrs. Vendetta Clark spent " Wednesday in Vernal with Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Powell and Mr. . and Mrs. Bud Johnson. ' Clinton Bowden attended a ; dairy meeting at Delmar 'Mech- am's place in Mt. Emmons, j . Thursday night. Neil Maxfield was the only one from Altonah who went with the Aitamont seniors on their trip to Logan. Those from Altonah attending the closing P.T.A. at Aitamont, Thursday night were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Allrcd, Mrs. Lola Jones, Mrs. Aldon Carroll, Mrs. Fern Miller, Mrs. Betty Clark, Mrs. Elva Prows, Mrs. Blanch Carroll. Elaine Carroll, Barbara Smith, Rex Allrcd and Phyllis Miller took part in the program. Sandra Prows, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fay Prows, received receiv-ed medical attention in the Roosevelt Roos-evelt hospital, Friday night. An interesting program was given in Sunday School. Sunday. A Mother's Day card was presented pre-sented to each mother of the ward. |
