Show Funerals HOWARD DENNIS MYTON Funeral services for Howard Dennis, 28, who died May 19 in a plane crash at Myton, My-ton, were conducted Monday in the Roosevelt LDS stake tabernacle taber-nacle with Bishop Syerl Dennis of the Myton ward officiating. Org'an prelude music was by Mrs. Vere Johnson. Speakers included Bishop Dennis. Leonard Harris and J. Harold Eldredge. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet composed of Esther Wo-gec, Wo-gec, Gertrude Moysh. Merlin Reynolds and Bennie Schmiett, with Evelyn Schmiett as accompanist; accom-panist; and Mrs. Grant Jacobs, soloist, with Mrs. Syerl Dennis as accompanist. The invocation was be Fredrick Fred-rick S. Musser; benediction by H. L. Crapo. The grave was dedicated ded-icated by Howard Roberts. Burial was in the Roosevelt cemetery under the direction of Wm. R. Sands Post No. 5. American Amer-ican Legion, with Post Commander Command-er Orval Gillcn in charge. Lavar Peterson, Reed Peterson, Hay-den Hay-den Cooper, A. C. Tolboe. Leroy Mott and John Urcsk served as pal bearers. The Legion color guard was formed by James Dalgleish, W. R. Harris, Calvin Monks and Glen Fullmer. The firing squad was ccmposed of George Dodge, Milton Lott, George Wedig, Lawrence Law-rence Bywater, Lynn Dean, Robert Rob-ert Porritt. Arthur Brian and Blaine Brokaw. Merlin Reynolds and Jack Alexander were the buglers. HELEN M. SECAKUKU Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Hel-en McKinley Secakuku, 21, who died May 20 at the Ft. Duchesne hospital of tuberculosis, were conducted May 20 at 1 p. m. in the Randlelt Episcopal church by Rev. Joseph F. Hogben, vicar of St. .Elizabeth's mission at Whiterocks. She was born at Ft. Duchesne August 3, 1928, a daughter of Hoskey and Julia Shavaneaux McKinley. She was a graduate of Alterra high school and of the LDS business college in Salt Lake. In 1948 she was married to Honwiana Secakuku. At the time of her death she was employed by the Office of Indian Affairs. Surviving are her-parents; her husband; an infant son. Ferron Secakuku; three brothers. Francis Fran-cis McKinley and Wilbur Arrun. Ft. Duchesne, and Connie Shavaneaux, Shav-aneaux, Randlett; and a sister, Mrs. Dolly B. Watts, Ignacio, Colorado. Col-orado. Burial was in the Randlett cemetery under the direction of the Dillman funeral home. |
