Show PERSONALS and SOCIETY Mrs. Jennie Wing left Wednesday Wednes-day for New York City on a buying buy-ing trip for Wing's Store at Ft. Duchesne, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Labrum of Salt Lake are visiting and taking care of business in Roosevelt Roos-evelt this week. Gordon Anderton of Salt Lake City spent the Fourth of July holiday at Neola. lie returned to Salt Lake Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Swain axe the proud parents of a baby boy born at the L D S hospital in Salt Lake City June 11th. Misses JoAnne Gillett, daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Lois Gillett is spending spend-ing the summer vacation with her grandparents at Bacchus, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Rawlings enjoyed the week end at their Uintah canyon cabin, which they purchased recently from Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hacking. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Tait and son, Bobby spent the week end visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Wardle and Mrs. Agnes Tait. Mt. Tait is a brother of Mrs. Wardle. Mrs. Fred Jenson and daughter, daugh-ter, Thora were in Salt Lake last week where Thora was receiving medical advice for her arm which was injured a few years ago. Mrs. Anna Taylor and little daughter have been visiting at the home of Mrs. G. F. Fredrick-son Fredrick-son who is the mother of Mrs. Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Presley Timothy are the proud parents of a baby girl, born Tuesday, July 3rd at the Roosevelt hospital. Mother and babe are reported getting along nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Barlow of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs, Max Barlow of Altonah were week-end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Barlow and Mrs. Dora Owen of Roosevelt. Mr. Barlow of Salt Lake is a brother of Herbert Barlow and Mrs. Owen. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Dee Or-ser Or-ser and son, Bob, of San Francisco, Fran-cisco, California, who have been visiting at the Orser home left for California Wednesday. While in Roosevelt they have visited many of their friends here. Saturday Sat-urday evening the Orser family was at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards: Mrs. Mary Orser, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Orser, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Orser, Mrs. W. D. Orser, Bob, Nancy Ann and May Stevenson. Bridgetie Club Mrs. Alden Alexander was hostess to the members of the Bridgette club which was held Thursday at the home of Mrs. Ren Johnson. A delicious lunch-con lunch-con was served to the following: Mrs. Eldon Campbell, Mrs. Mont Killian, Mrs. Clifton Laris, Mrs. Rex Curry, Mrs. Bill Nelson, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mrs. Ned Bellon and the hostess. Celebrates 7th Birthday Jerry Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank R. Walker was guest of honor Saturday, July 7th, the occassion being his 7th birthday. Guests present included Roy and Ncal Eager, Gilbert and Fay Hullinger, Dickie Ruppel, George Morrison, Barcy Nickols, Elaine Walker, Reese Walker. Delicious refreshments and games were enjoyed. Turkey Dinner A turkey dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sharpies at Ioka. Guests included includ-ed Mr. and Mrs. Ed Relitz and son Charles of Myton, Mrs. Reva Nyman, Mrs. LaRene Mariluck, Mrs. Lois Gillett, Mr. and Mrs. Nile Gines and Bud Witamore of Roosevelt. A social evening was enjoyed. , , , Proud Parents of Twins Mr. and Mrs. Francis S. Todd are the proud parents of twins, a boy and a girl born June 25th. Mrs. Todd is at Kaysville at the home of her sister, Mrs. Weston Timothy. The Todds who formerly former-ly lived in Ballard live at Duchesne Du-chesne now. Chili Luncheon A chili luncheon was given at the home of Mrs. Reva Nyman of Roosevelt for Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sharpies of Ioka. Mrs. La-Rene La-Rene Mariluck, Mrs. Lois Gillett, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Bellon and Bud Witamore all of Roosevelt. |
