Show City-Wide Sewer Construction Bids To Be Opened Bids on Construction Work Will Be Opened Friday Evening at City Council Chambers In accordance with Notice calling call-ing for bids for the construction of the proposed sewer extcntions in Roosevelt City which was run in the Salt Lake papers. More Water During the past monm tne city council has had a well drilling program under advisement of expert ex-pert water engineers. Two days 12 inch holes have been completed complet-ed adjacent to the two largest producing wells in the basin and one has been completely cased and is now in readiness for a pumping test. According to the engineers, this one well should produce alone, enough water to supply all the needs or the present pres-ent requirements of the city. The pumping test should be made within the next few weeks. Already Al-ready under the drilling program, pro-gram, the city has increased the water supply under natural flow, to better than six gallons per minute. New Culverts The council gave the streets and alley committee authorization authoriza-tion to construct three more cement ce-ment culverts, and this work is now under construction, and should be- completed within a few weeks. |
