Show Oil For Nazis ii v.-.-..:.. - Z ;,;-. -V sr.. SWATHMORE, PA. SQUND-PIIOTO SQUND-PIIOTO The late William R. Davis (above), who, according to O. John Rogge, Special Assistant to U. S. Attorney-General Clark, obtained control of expropriated Mexican oil which he sought to ship to Germany to produce oil products for the German navy. Rogge made the charge during an address at the Swathmore ! College, During the address he also declared that Herman Goer- ing and other Nazi leaders sought to defeat the re-election of the late President Roosevelt in 1936, 1940, and 1944. Rogge was abruptly dismissed by Attorney-General Clark who said his assistant had violated Justice Department rules by quoting from the report in his talk at Swathmore. Rogge declared de-clared Saturday night that his report on Nazi efforts to influence influ-ence American elections was sup-1 sup-1 pressed after Attorney-General (Clark "saw some of the names mentioned." |
