Now that all pre-scason, regular season, and part season hunts arc over someone should take it upon themselves to find out what the plans are for future years. For. the last week both deer and elk have been coming into town frorn post-season hunts. Hunters returning report a slaughter of game wherever they have been.- It's high time for fish and game clubs and every individual to stand up for a sound program of game conservation. After all the wildlife that roams the hills of Utah is a million dollar asset. .The high school Ag Club is sponsoring a fight card at the high school " gym, Wednesday, December 17. Fight fans should keep this date open and support the boys that put on a show, just for the sport .and training. Several local fighters are going go-ing to Altei-ra, December 10, to take, part in the fights there. Fans are in store for some good basketball games this winter as Higli School and Basin League games get under way. The High School's first preseason pre-season game will be played here, December 4, against South Emery Em-ery High. Manager Reed Wiscombe, of the American Legion team, boasts of a strong club. He says they arc ready to meet all chal-j lengcrs, Wiscombe, with the aid of Dick Owen, has accumulated a bunch of top hand basketball players. These boys arc not only vetrans of wars, but veteran ball handlers as well. They have been working out for two weeks and announce their first game here for December 6. |
