Jensen County Agricultural Agent Alfalfa growers who have been looking for a new variety which is a high yielder, winter hardy, and resistant to alfalfa wilt, have finally found an answer. The new variety "Ranger," combines all these qualities and is now available to farmers of the, Uintah Uin-tah Basin to plant for hay production. pro-duction. m Through years of plant breeding breed-ing and selection this train was finally developed, in Kansas. Then followed years of testing ??? PlantinS or seed increases. It is definitely a superior variety Local growers are enthusiastic about its possibilities. Following are some of those who can tell you what they think of it from first hand experience-Carl experience-Carl Van Tassell, of Bridgeland; Horace Allred, of Roosevelt, and Hugh Murray, of Roosevelt. Through the cooperation of the Utah Crop Improvement Association, Asso-ciation, registered Ranger seed was obtained and planted by these individual farmers in our county. A good yield was obtained ob-tained this year. People in all parts of the state are asking for some of this seed. A. good supply of it will be held I for farmers of the -Uintah Basin 'if they will place their orders immediately.
