Several skits were presented dramatizing the Relief society lesson work Stake president of the Relief society, soc-iety, Mrs. Margaret Wiscombe with three members of the Stake Board were present. A ward social given Friday evening under the direction of the M I A was well attended. A short program was rendered and the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing. Mrs. Eva Miles spent the past week visiting her daughter, Ora? who is employed in Salt Lake jci,ty Mrs. Theron Benson arrived here last week to be with her infant in-fant daughter who has been with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Benson. Mrs. Benson has been in Ohio visiting with Theron Ther-on who is in the service, he was recently transferred from Ohio to Louisiana. Mr. and Mrs. James B. Lemon left Saturday for Camp Barkley, Texas to visit their son and daughter in law, Cpl. and Mrs. Paul B. Lemon. Several men of Ioka have been engaged in harvesting corn. A large acreage, which is nearly harvested was reaised this year. The yeilds per acre are good. Very interesting classes have been conductd in the Special Interest In-terest class of M I A Tuesday November 30. Carl J. Hansen related re-lated missionary experiences in Norway and Tuesday December 7, anniversary of Pearl Harbor, Miss Dicia Emmert of Roosevelt gave a lecture on Hawaii. Reed Lemon is teacher of the class. Mrs. Charles Hardman entertained enter-tained at a shower Thursday at the ward hall honoring her daughter Mrs. Carl Richens recently re-cently married. She was the former form-er Miss Audrey Hardman. |
