Show Uintah Basin District Holds Convention The semi-annual convention of the Uintah Basin District of Utah Federation of Women's clubs was held Saturday, April 28th at Vernal. Mrs. Sterling M. Ercanbrack, president of the State, Mrs. George Bailiff and Mrs. Harold Christcnson of 'Pro-vo 'Pro-vo were the honored guests. An afternoon session was held in the 2nd ward where Mrs. George Bailiff gave an excellent talk on "Dunbarton Oaks conference" confer-ence" and Mrs. Harold Christcnson, Christcn-son, "Fine Arts". A banquet was held at the Central school in the evening at which Mrs. Ercanbrack was the principal speaker, topic, "Women's "Wo-men's place in the world and the progress and work of Utah clubwomen. Officers were then elected and installed with Mrs. Ercanbrack officiating. Mrs. Parley Rawlings was put in as president of the Uintah Basin district; 1st vice president, Mrs. Paul Lyman; 2nd vice president, Mrs. Russell Keetch; recording secretary, Mrs. Wm. Jacobe; corresponding secretary. Mrs. Bill Litster; district director, Mrs. Stanley King. Members attending from the local club were: Mrs. Mont Kil-lian, Kil-lian, Mrs. Ned Bellon, Mrs. Cecil Jenkins, Mrs. Stanley Hall, Mrs. Parley Rawlings, Mrs. Frank Griffin, Mrs. Aldon Alexander, Mrs. Ray Tuttle, Mrs. Theron Leavitt, LaRue Allred, Mrs. Rex Curry, Mrs. Lee Allred, Mrs. Elmer El-mer Eldredge, Mrs. Wilford Granger, Mrs. Bill Litster and Mrs. Frank Yack. |
