Show PERSONALS and SOCIETY Mrs. Marion Black and two children of Kinbrae, Minnesota, arrived last week to visit with her mother, Mrs. Pat Markey for about six weeks. Mrs. Black and children spent the past winter at Boerne, Texas. Mrs. R. R. Sather and son returned re-turned to their home last week after spending the past few weeks with Mr. Sather who is stationed with the U. S. Navy at St. Lewis, Mo. Her mother, Mrs. Pat Markey cared for the Sath-er's Sath-er's Jewelry store during her absence. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Miller left Wednesday night for Springville to attend the funeral of Mr. Miller's brother, Louis Miller, Thursday. Miss Miriam Long will accompany them as far as Salt Lake. City. Friday Bridge Mrs. Fred Ferron entertained the members of the Friday Bridge club Thursday. A delicious delic-ious luncheon was served, after which tables were arranged for bridge. Members present included, includ-ed, Lelta Robbins, Mary Weiss, Marva Corbridge, Hazel Ashton, Viola Harmston, Carma Dee Harmston, Elsie Campbell, Nell Wilkins, Billie Bair, Thel Rup-pel Rup-pel and the hostess, Agnes Ferron. Fer-ron. m I Contract Bridge Club Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Ferron entertained Friday evening. Dinner Din-ner was served at the Legion Barracks, after which the guests went to the Ferron home and played bridge. Those present included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Ashton, Ash-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Weiss, Mr. and Mrs. Axel Birch, Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Orser, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Ruppel, Bob Ferron, Mr. and Mrs. Les Mullins, Mr. and Mrs. Vean Bair and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Marimon and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chamberlain of Whiterocks. Neighborhood Sewing Club Mrs. Frank Yack entertained the members of the club at her home Wednesday evening, with 8 the following members present: Mrs. Louis Laris, Mrs. Stanley Hall, LaRue Allred, Mrs. Howard How-ard Andrews, Mrs. Parley Rawl-ings, Rawl-ings, Mrs. Chris Axelgaard, Mrs. Lee Allred. The hostess served a lovely luncheon. m m m Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Seeley of Royal, are the proud parents of a baby girl, born April 26. Moth-and Moth-and baby are doing fine. Thought and Thimble Club Mary Burgess entertained the Thought and Thimble club at her home Friday, April 27. A delicious delic-ious luncheon was served to the following: Fay White, Tina Wilkins, Wil-kins, Erma Jensen, Wrennetta Granger, Pearl Redmond, Clista Angus, Ardella Mitchell and Opal Op-al Dillman. Wrennetta Granger gave an interesting article entitled en-titled "Our Daily Bread". Dye-Monks The marriage of Betty Lou Dye of Neola to Ted Monks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank D. Monks of Myton, took place at Duchesne Du-chesne May 1st. The couple left for Salt Lake City Monday night for four days. Daughters of Pioneers The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers met at the Roosevelt Ward Relief society room Friday afternoon . with Mrs. Mildred Dillman president, presiding. After a delicious luncheon, business busi-ness matters were taken care of. Mrs. Tina Wilkins reported on the progress of the installation of the first bell used in Roosevelt. Mrs. John Gilbert and Mrs. Dili-man Dili-man were the hostesses. After business meeting the group ac; Icepted the invitation to see the one-act plays which the Uintah, Alterra, and Roosevelt High schools presented in the Roosevelt Roose-velt Amusement hall. |
