Show Myton Mrs. Grace Dalgleish Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Holdaway and children, Salt Lake Citj visited last week with Mrs. Lyd-ia Lyd-ia Peatross and Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry. Sgt. William Woods visited with friends and relatives in Myton last week. Bill recently returned from Germany on furlough fur-lough and is spending some time in' Salt Lake City with his moth er, Mrs. Maude Woods. Among those those from out of town who attended the funeral of J. R. Bywater on July 20, were Mx. and Mrs. Mylan By-water, By-water, of Rawlings, Wyo.; Wilson Wil-son Bywater, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Owen Payne and Gary Payne, Provo; Mrs. Marva Payne Larsen, Spanish Fork; Mr. and Mrs. Millroy Steed, Sheronne Steed, Mr. and Mrs. Dan L. Recder and Mrs. Lenora B. Hil-lam, Hil-lam, Brigham; Mrs. Lillie B. Forsgren, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Valentine, and Lawrence Valentine, Valen-tine, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Bywater. Ogden; Mrs. Henry Cutter, Mrs. Lorin-da Lorin-da Bradford and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones, Corinne. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Preece at- tended the reunion of the Preece family in Vernal, Thursday. Mrs. Wm. Harris accompanied them to spend the day with Mrs. W. II. Koehler, who is now located in Vernal. Mrs. James Dalgleish entertained enter-tained the Friday Bridge club last week. Present were Mrs. Floyd Lamb, Miss Alice Todd, Mrs. Homer Robinson, Mrs. Bliss Lott, Mrs. W. II . Linck, Mrs. H. W. Davenport, Mrs. Rex Lamb and Mrs. R. H. Burdlck. High score was won by Mrs. Rex T.nmh. Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Edwards were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edwards Ed-wards and son, Mr. and Mrs. Edsel Murphy and son, of Logan, Lo-gan, and Mrs. Pearl Edwards. Syerl Dennis left Thursday for Salt Lake City accompanied by his son and daughter-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Dennis and children, who had been visiting vis-iting here and with Mrs. Dennis' parents in - Upalco. Before returning re-turning home Mr. Dennis visited I in Provo and went on to Spring ville to get his wife who had been visiting with her parents Kr me pasi ween. Mr. and Mrs. Marvel Woods and family, who have been residing re-siding in Salt Lake City during the past 2 years, returned to Myton My-ton last week and expect to locate lo-cate here. Visitors at the Ole Peterson home during the July 24 weekend week-end were Mr. and Mrs. Owen Bingham and family and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bingham and baby, who came from Provo for a j short visit. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gallycr, Mr. and Mrs. Elias Gallyer and daughter, who have been visiting visit-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Brummet the past 2 weeks, left Sunday to return to their homes in Fresno, Calif. Franklin Peterson and Billy Giles, members of the Myton American Legion Junior baseball base-ball team accompanied the Duchesne Du-chesne team to Helper. Friday. ' Mr. and Mrs. Murel Benson, of Roosevelt, and Mrs. Benson's mother, Mrs. Wm, Forsythe, ot Phoenix, visited with Myton I friends Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Adams and family returned Sunday after af-ter a week's vacation in Yellowstone Yellow-stone Park and the Craters of the Moon in Idaho. Max Morrill was rushed to the Roosevelt hospital Friday for an appendectomy. He is getting along nicely and will be home soon. Mr. and Mrs. V. T. Rice, form- f er Myton residents, visited here briefly Saturday while enroute from their home in Bountiful to spend the weekend in Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Milliman, of Salt Lake City, visited at the O. A. Dart home during the July 24 holiday. Mrs. Milliman was formerly Miss Dorothy Dart. Corporal Elwin A. Porritt, who has been spending a 2-week, I furlough with his parents. Mr. jand Mrs. Levi Porritt, left Wed-i Wed-i ncsday night to return to his station at Fort Lewis, Wash. Vern Brummett, who Is employed em-ployed by the Nutter Corporation Corpora-tion at Nine Mile, spent Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Brummett. Albert Tanner came from Carbon Car-bon county to spend the weekend week-end with his mother,. Mrs. Geo. Tanner. Mrs. Levi Porritt entertained Sunday afternoon honoring the 9th birthday anniversary of her granddaughter, Georgeanna Fullmer, Full-mer, daughter of Mr.' and Mrs. James Fullmer, of North Myton bench. Mrs. Nephi Porritt assisted as-sisted in entertaining Dixie Lee Oberg, Garry Young, Laverne Young, Robert Young, Garold Young, Betty Littleton. Larry Fullmer. Cherry! Fullmer, Ron-i Ron-i aid Giles. Adrienne Giles and Charma Giles. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Morrill and family left last week on a vacation trip to Provo. They then received the sad news of i the death of Deward Morrill, ! 5on of Mr. Morrill's brother. Des, and went to Price to attend the funeral on Tuesday. Others from here who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moulton and children, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Nance and family. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Tolboe enjoyed a visit Friday from Mrs. Tolboe's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Mc Cabe, of Dove Creek, Colorado. Mrs. Florence Johnson, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, another sister, was also here for the family gathering. |
