Show Wounded Aitonah Boy Recovering Reports give Jack Carroll. 14, Aitonah, an even chance for recovery re-covery from an accidental g'un-shot g'un-shot wound inflicted July 26. while he, his father, Alden Carroll, Car-roll, and a cousin were working on the Carroll farm. Jack, his father and Virgil Miller, 18, also of Aitonah. were building a fence around a hay stack when the accident occured. Miller was examining a .22 caliber cal-iber rifle when it discharged, the bullet hitting young Carroll in the abdomen. The bullet went through the stomach and liver, ranged upward up-ward to puncture a lung. and barely missed his heart. He submitted sub-mitted to an operation, Tuesday. Witnessing the incident. Mr. Carroll told Sheriff Arzy Mitchell Mit-chell that the shooting was accidental. |
