Show IXSXSXSXSXSSX5XSXSXSXSXi BLUEBELL ; EXSXSXSXSXSXSXSVS ! A marble contest was held at Altamont High school between Jthe boys of the 7th grade under the direction of their teacher Mrs. Hartman. Trere were five marble rings and five students to each ring. The winners of these five marble rings then contested together and Donald Stevenson of Bluebell was the winner. He knocked out 45 marbles. mar-bles. Dwane Stevenson of Mt. Home came in second he knocked knock-ed out 36 marbles. A prize will be given by the 7th grade. Mrs. Martha Thorsen returned home on Friday after visiting in Murray with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Johnson and also Mr. and Mrs. Max Gee. Mrs. Gee and Mrs. Thorsen are sisters. Mrs. . Hosea Lisonbee has spent most of this week with her husband whom is very ill with pneumonia at the Roosevelt hospital. She reports he is a little better. Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson received word from - the War Department that their son Sgt. Ameth died from wounds ini ; Germany on April 3rd. Ameth was among the first boys in Bluebell to enlist. Mr, and Mrs. Harvey Gee of Duchesne were visiting Mr. and I Mrs. John Therning on Thurs- I day. i Mrs. Rea Carter and son, ! Michael arrived here on Thurs- day to stay with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Therning. Rea i and Michael have been visiting j her navy husband and daddy in ! California. They also visited in j Salt Lake before returning ! home. , , . I Mr. and Mrs. Frank Robison i of Altonah were in Bluebell visiting Mrs. Hosea Lisonbee one day this week. Mr. and Mrs. Harold White of Myton Bench were visiting Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson. Also Mr. and Mrs. Al Anderson of Roosevelt visited them one day this week. Pvt William Bird arrived here this week to spend his furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Bird Bill is stationed at Camp Roberts, California. |
