Show Premium List J Ready For 'Stock Show ! Last week the Moon Lake chapter Future Farmers of America Am-erica published the premium list for their second annual livestock live-stock show, which is to be held at Altamont, May 12th. ' Due to the very generous donations do-nations given on the part of the Duchesne county individuals, organizations or-ganizations and firms, some very out standing prizes are being offered. of-fered. The placing of animals will be on tne point basis. Choice animals an-imals will receive 10 points and a blue ribbon, good animals will receive 7 points and a red ribbon, rib-bon, commerical animals 4 points and a white ribbon. The money value of each point will depend upon the total number of I points awarded and money avail- ' able. Last year each point was valued val-ued at 30 cents. We have more money this year than last so the points should have a higher value. val-ue. Some very outstanding prizes are being offered, this year. A prize of 35 will be awarded for ; the best fat baby beef calf. $20 J for the best fat lamb and $20 for the best market hog. These priz-J priz-J es are being sponsored by the Roosevelt Flour mill and the Roosevelt Commerical club. Other outstanding prizes being offered are, best hereford range bull $10.00 offered by Bert Lusty. Lus-ty. Parley Lambert is offering $25.00 prize to the cow produc-J produc-J ing the most butter fat the day ' of the show. Anybody interested I in this contest should contact the Chapter officials about the rules governing this event. The Western Mutual Creamery Company is giving a $25.00 war bond for the best dairy exhibit. This will be to the dairyman scoring the most points. Calders Brothers Creamery is offering a trophy for the best dairy bull. In addition to the above prizes special prizes are being offered for the best boar, best brood sow, best dairy heifer, heif-er, best ram, best ewe, and second sec-ond place animals. 1 |
