Forbush "1 Aviation Cadet Garn Ross has just completed the Army's Pri-1 Pri-1 mary flight training course at " Thunderbird Field, Glendale, 5 Arizona, and has now com- menced his basic flight training ; at another air field. A-C Ross, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley ; Ross of Arcadia is a graduate of : Roosevelt High school. When he ! entered the armed service in ! June, 1943 at Kearns he was em-J em-J ployed by the Ogden Air Depot. i IN THE ARMY t Corporal Donald Forbush was Inducted into the service August Aug-ust 6, 1942, in the Army Air Corp. lie was first sent to Ghep- 'pard Field, Texas for his basic training and was then transferred transfer-red to LaJunta, Colorado, where he is serving as a mechanic in the T E F T S. Don is a grandson of the late Mrs. Kicton of Bone- : ta and before induction in the : army was working for W. W. McConkie in Roosevelt. j ta ' COMPLETES BASIC ' FLYING TRAINING J Cadet Evan Mecham of Mt, ' Emmons graduated recently 1 from the Marana Army Air Field, Tucson, Arizona. He will :, be sent to an advanced flying - school to complete the last phase : of his cadet training, after which he will be awarded his silver 1 wings as a pilot in the Army Air Corp, He attended Altamont i High school and Utah State Agri- cultural college where he was a member of PiKappa Alpha ? fraternity. Before entering the J.Air Corp. Cadet Mecham was at-! at-! tending college. ; VISITS PARENTS 'Lt. Max P. Wilkins arrived home Sunday to visit a few days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J Farrel Wilkins. He left Tuesday I for his station in North Carolina, from there he will be assigned to overseas duty. His sister, Mrs. tl Alfred Huxford came from Salt Lake City with him for a visit. HOME ON FURLOUGH Private Harold Timothy, now serving with the United States army is home on v a furlough, n spending it with his wife: the , 1 former Barbara Angus and his seven month old daughter, Diane h at Ballard. Harold has been tak-J tak-J tog his training at Aberdine, Maryland, but has been trans- ferred to Camp Beal, California.
