Show BALLARD Enoch Stolla left Monday for Bountiful to visit friends, while there he plans on taking his physical examination for the service. Mrs. Golda Rasmussen and sister, Mrs. Delia Poulson from Jensen, left Saturday for Manti to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Scymore B Snow. Mrs. Poulson visited several days at the Rasmussen home. Miss Mae Carlson is visiting at the home of her brother, Roy Carlson and family. She accompanied accom-panied their son, Lynn here. He has been in Charleston finishing his school before moving to Ballard. Bal-lard. LcRoi Anderson is home on a leave for a few days. He will return Tuesday. There was a party given in his honor Monday night. Stella Jenkins gave a reading; LeRoi sang a solo and Ray E. Dillman spoke a few words of advice. Several other service boys were at the party. Elton Kettle, Lyle Butcher, Orlan Cook and Jack Allred leaves on the 2nd of June to take their physical exam. The Primary officers were at the home of Mrs. Stolla, the new president to pay honor to Mrs. Jenkins the former president. Mrs. Jenkins was released on account ac-count of poor health. The Relief society held a closing clos-ing social Tuesday at the church house. Mrs. Fannie Todd and Mrs. Vida Belts spent the week end in Salt Lake visiting their daughters, daugh-ters, Lois Betts and Ncdra Todd and Mrs. Wendell Johnson. Ray Taylor of Randlett and Lyle Reynolds of Roosevelt were the speakers at sacrament meeting last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Butler arc the proud parents of a 9 lb. baby girl; born Saturday, May 20th. Mrs. Butler, the former Pearl Fisher, has been at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Fisher for some time. Mr. Butler who is employed employ-ed at the Douglas Aircraft Co., at Los Angeles arrived Tuesday. He will return to his work this week. Cloyd Wiscombe, Norman Jenkins, Jen-kins, Beth Robbins, Colleen Robinson, Rob-inson, Renae Hadlock, Kay Gardner Gard-ner and Ruth Stolla graduated from Primary Sunday, May 21. |
