Show DUCHESNE ixixzocoocoooooicoc Mrs. II. L. Allred of Roosevelt John H. Jones of Tabiona, Orson Monson of Boneta and L. J. Gilbert Gil-bert of Arcadia attended a meeting meet-ing of the Welfare Board held in Duchesne last Tuesday. Duchesne visitors last Wednesday Wed-nesday included Mrs. Myrtle Lambert and Mrs. Viola Harm-ston Harm-ston of Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith and Fay Prows of Altonah were transacting business matters here last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Smith have recently sold their holdings in Altonah and will make their home in Myton. Robert Schonian and Robert Murdock who have attended school at Wasatch Academy the past winter, returned to their homes in Duchesne last week. The Women's Study club was entertained at the home of Mrs. Floyd Fullmer on Friday night. Election of officers was held and Miss Anna Stark was elected President; Mrs. Ruby Stephenson Stephen-son as vice president and Mrs. Clco Mohlman as secretary-treasurer. secretary-treasurer. Mrs. Marie Halbert of Muscatine, Iowa, a former member of the club, was a guest. County Treasurer, Porter L. Mcrrell attended the Democratic State convention in Salt Lake City over the week end. Miss Anna Stark, Duchesne County Primary supervisor, left for her home Friday of this week. She was accompanied by Mrs. Zella Cowan, who will visit with relatives in Utah county for sometime. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Odekirk are spending a short time with relatives and friends in Duchesne Mr. Odekirk is serving with the armed forces and is stationed at present in New York. V. A. Bair, of Roosevelt manager man-ager of the Uintah Power and Light company was transacting business here Monday Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mott and Conrad Hollenbeck visited with relatives in Bluebell on Sunday. Max Burdick of Bluebell was a Duchesne visitor last Friday evening. Mrs. Ernest Wilson and daughter Coleen are spending sometime with relatives in Carbon Car-bon County. Mrs. Helen Odekirk left for Salt Lake last Friday, where she will visit for sometime. |
