Show Mrs. Margaret Harrison and granddaughter, Jeraldiene Harrison Har-rison visited her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Williams and family at Rangley, Colorado, during the week. Mrs. Annie Warburton r e -ceived a letter from her daughter, daugh-ter, Laura Bywaters that her husband, Nylan Bywaters had landed in the Hawiian Islands. Jess Hullinger of Altcrra was in Lapoint Monday checking up with his 4-H club boys. Chellus Caldwell of the OPA Board of Vernal was in Lapoint on Monday. Wm. Cook of Salt Lake City has been visiting his son, Ronald Cook and family and other relatives rela-tives the past week. Mrs. Lucy Long and children moved to Roosevelt Saturday to make their home. Mrs. Grace Reynolds and small son of Salt Lake City visited visit-ed her parents, Mr, and Mrs. George Thompson over the week end. She has just returned from Lincoln, Neb.raska, where she visited with her husband. A meeting was held Monday night in the Lapoint chapel to discuss problems pertaining to the school. Lawrence Caldwell was chosen chairman, with L. J. Walker, 1st assistant; Travis Nelson Nel-son 2nd assistant; Carl Harrison, Alternate of the school board of Vernal were present. A birthday party was held in honor of Mrs, Mary Pc-tcrman, age 78. at her home on Tuesday. Refreshments were served. Mrs. Carolina Lambert returned return-ed to her home after visiting for a week with daughter in Salt Lake City, Mrs. Jessie Neumeyer and daughter, Freeda attended the funeral of Miss Jackie Tanner at My ton Tuesday. Floyd Reynolds and family of Jensen visited Alfonzo McMick-ell McMick-ell Thursday. Kenneth Hartle and family, Mrs. George Bigelow and Beth Perry visited in Salt Lake City Friday with Mrs. E. C. Hair and Kenneth's Uncle Ed Green and family. Mary Lou Brown of Vernal was visiting her sister, Mrs. La-zelle La-zelle Nelson and husband over the week end. Mrs. Lawrence Hackford and son, Tommy are visiting her daughter, Mrs. Mart Davis and family at Glendale, California. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Norton and baby of Ogden visited his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Norton over the week end. Joe has em-' ployment at the Industrial school. Ray Foster is spending a week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hayden Foster and helping with the farm work. He has employment em-ployment in a Safeway store at Salt Lake City. Stephen Perry and family of Vernal visited with Thurmer Rasmusscn and family Sunday. Kolecn, their daughter returned home with them after visiting the past week in Vernal with her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Glines and other relatives. Mrs. Verla Searle and children and George Bigelow, accompanied accompan-ied Raymond Bigelow to Salt Lake City Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Thur-son Thur-son and sons, Duane and Charles Char-les F. Thurson of Ogden we.re ' visiting their daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee on Sunday. Charles Char-les F., Jr., is home on a furlough after being stationed in California. Californ-ia. ....... Otlo'Bisel and family left Sunday Sun-day for Salt Lake City to get his mother and visit other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bell and son Dermont of American Fork visited Sunday at the George Eigelow home. Mrs. Bell and Mrs. Bigelow are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Horace Gillman of American Fork visited with her sister, Mrs. Lawrence Abbeg-glen Abbeg-glen and family Sunday. Mrs. Mae Johnson and Laura Perry of the lady home missionaries mission-aries of Vernal were speakers at sacrament meeting Sunday. Mrs. Lucile Calder sang a solo. |
