Show Uintah Stake To Present Concert Here On July 1 by Harold Eldrcdge To illustrate the retention and growth of the spirit of music, which was found in early pioneer companies, groups from Uintah , Stake, under the direction of Mary H. Manwaring jjl Present a concert at 8; 15 p, .a. Tuesday, July 1, in the Roos.velt Stake tabernacle. Over one hundred ' persons '.will participate in t-e presentation: presenta-tion: the Uintah otuke Singing .Mothers, a male quaitet, a string jtrio, a choral g:ou;) of ladies 'known as the Mayottes, Avard Rigby, soloist, ar.d Mr. Rigby J and Bcrnice Pallreyman as a duo. The varied program consists of light, semi-classic and classical classi-cal music, with such numbers as Victor Herbert's "Thine Alone," to be sung by Mr. Rigby; "Sweethearts," from the opera "Maytime," selected for Mr. Rigby and Miss Palfreymah; Chopin's "A Wish," tp be given by the Singing Mothers; Hpagy Carmichael's "Stardust," tp be sung by a combined chorus; Sig-' Sig-' mund Romberg's "Stout Hearted . Men," arranged fpr a mae quartet, quar-tet, and Haydn's 'Minuet," to be played by the string trip that peffprmed at Roosevelt Seminary Semin-ary graduation exercises. The program will consist pf 20 select? ed numbers.. BISHOP Hollis Hullinger of !the Roosevelt First ward, who has arranged fpr the presentation, presenta-tion, said that without doubt this will be one of the finest musical programs ever presented in Roosevelt. Roos-evelt. Special accomodations for staging and lighting of the chorus chor-us will be made, he said.
