Show PERSONALS and SOCIETY Miss Marion Mortensen spent; Monday in Provo on business. Miss Edith Harrison left Monday Mon-day for Salt Lake where she will spend some time. Miss Patsy Larsen is visiting . . in Roosevelt with friends and relatives this week during the Salt Lake school spring vacation. Mrs. Ruth Sturgeon spent the week end in Salt Lake City visiting visit-ing with her daughter, Enid Sturgeon. Mrs. R. Q. Warnock is visiting for a few days in Elsinore wtih her mother. Howard Reynolds of Salt Lake spent Tuesday in Roosevelt visiting vis-iting at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Reynolds. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoi Jones spent the week end in Roosevelt and vicinity visiting friends and relatives. Mr. Jones is teaching school at American Fork. Mrs. Herman F. Lund of Salt Lake visited with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gill' of Arcadia Arcad-ia over the week end. Her husband hus-band is stationed with the armed forces overseas. Mrs. Boyd Olson, who is teaching in Salt Lake City, is spending the week visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Heber T. Hall. She will return to Salt Lake Sunday. Pvt. Donald Laris, who hasj been stationed at Fort Douglas in Salt Lake City, was home on a few days visit last week end. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Laris. Mrs. L. S. Saunders of Salt Lake is in Roosevelt visiting friends. The doctor expects to be here Friday for a few days. They are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Huish. Eldon Mortensen, who has been helping at the Mortensen Confectionery, left Tuesday for Ephraim where he will visit with his folks and also register for the draft. He is the son of Paul Mor-tensen. Mrs. Roy Benson spent the fore part of the week in Salt Lake on business. Mrs. Dick Scholes and daughter, daugh-ter, Bonnie, visited in Salt Lake City last week end. They returned return-ed home Tuesday. Ross Larsen of Ogdcn, former owner of the Ross Cafe in Roosevelt, Roose-velt, is visiting friends and attending at-tending to his business interests here. Miss Ina Sprouse of Salt Lake is spending the week in Roosevelt Roose-velt visiting with her sister, Mrs. Rex Curry. , Mrs. James H. Wallis returned to Roosevelt Wednesday from I Vernal where she has been visiting visit-ing at the home of her son, Wm. B. Wallis. Dr. and Mrs. M. C. Campbell, who have spent the past two months in Arizona, have returned return-ed to Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sexton spent Friday and . Saturday in Roosevelt at the home of Mrs. Pearl Swain. Mrs. Sexton is the former Miss Florence Pierce. They left Saturday for Texas where Bob is stationed with the U S Army . Mr. and Mrs. Richard Olsen, who have spent the past two weeks visiting in California, came from Park City Sunday to get their daughter, Roseanne, who has been staying at the home of Mrs. Annie Jorgensen. They returned home Monday. Miss Faye Roller, who has been employed at the D & R G W Railroad Co. at Denver, Colorado Colo-rado the past year, spent last week in Roosevelt .visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Char-les Roller. Faye left Saturday night for Washington D. C. where she will be employed under un-der the Civil Service program. I Junior Social Culture Club Mrs. Dave Roberts was hostess host-ess at the home of Mrs. Parley Rawlings Monday evening. The president, Mrs. Ned Bellon presided pre-sided over the meeting. Topics of discussion were: A blue spruce tree which is being shipped from Salt Lake will be planted in the City park on Army Day, April 6th, under the direction of the club. It is announced that a kindergarten kin-dergarten . will be held for a 6 weeks period this summer for children between the ages of 4 and 6, time and place will be published later. Also plans to attend at-tend the District Convention, which is being held Thursday, April 6, at Vernal in the form of a musical tea, and the State annual an-nual convention, April 14-15 at the Hotel Utah in Salt Lake, were made. The book review, "Each to Each Other," by Conward McCann, was given by Mrs. Litster. Bridge Parly Mrs. Parley Lambert and Mrs. Homer P. Edwards entertained Thursday evening at a delightful bridge luncheon at the home of Mrs. Edwards. Those participating participat-ing in the enjoyment were Mrs. R. S. Jordan, Mrs. Jack McLea, Mrs. Fred Ferron, Mrs. Frank Orser, Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mrs. Clair Larsen, Mrs. Lynn Orser, Mrs. ClarenceL. Ashton, Mrs. Caroll Robbins, Mrs. Lester Mul-lins, Mul-lins, Mrs; Axel Birch, Mrs. Sam Weiss, Mrs. Dave Huish, Mrs. Eugene Harmston, Mrs. Robert Huish, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Mrs. Karl Burgess, Mrs. V. A. Bair and the hostesses. Bridgezie Club The members of the Bridget le club were entertained by Mrs. Ned. Bellon at her home Thursday. Thurs-day. A delicious luncheon was served after which three tables were arranged for bridge. Those present were Mrs. Bennie Schmiett. Mrs. Glen Miller, Mrs. Frank Mohlman, Mrs. Parley Rawlings,' LaRue Allred, Mrs. Aldbn Alexander, Mrs. Steve Bellon, Mrs. Verlan Nelson, Mrs. Elmer Eldredge, Mrs. Bernard Larson and the hostess. . Contract Bridge Club Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Ferron entertained members of the Contract Bridge club Sunday evening ev-ening at their home. Covers were laid for the following; Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Ashton, Mr. and Mrs. Axel Birch, Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Orser, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. Vean Bair, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wilkins, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Ruppel, Mr. and Mrs. Les Mullins, Mr. and Mrs. Sain Weiss and the host and hostess. 0 Neighborhood Sewing Club Wednesday evening Mrs. J. S. Rawlings entertained the members mem-bers of the Sewing club at her home. A lovely luncheon was served to the Mesdames present: Louis Laris, Darrel Walker, Voy-ne Voy-ne Walker, Howard Gardner, George Abplanalp, Geo.
