Show BLUEBELL Mr. and Mrs. Leslie B. Goodrich Good-rich spent three days with their daughter, Thelma Robison, at Ioka while her husband was in Salt Lake on business. Blaine Kimball left Monday for Springville where he. will work until he enters the Army. Mr. and Mrs. Max Owens and daughted, Maxyne, spent Thursday Thurs-day visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Af ton Seeley and son, Jimmie, of Salt Lake, were here visiting Afton's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Seeley Thurs- jday and Friday. Afton is a 2nd-Class 2nd-Class Petty Officer and leaves April 4th to receive his training. Mrs. Seeley and son will remain in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Henry Wathen and baby daughter and son, Victor, returned return-ed home Friday from Salt Lake where they have spent the past week visiting her daughter, Mrs. Wanda Hansen and other relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. Hansen returned home with them where she will remain for some time. Primary Conference held Sunday Sun-day evening, was enjoyed by a large audience. The theme was, "And They Shall Teach Their Children to Pray." Each class dramatized a skit. The lights shown on "The Throne of God," the singing and the decorations made it very inspirational. The officers are to be commended on their splendid work. Birch Ben-nion Ben-nion was represented as a stake visitor, Roosevelt shoppers Friday were Mrs. Gardner Goodrich, Bishop and Mrs. Bernard Winkler, Wink-ler, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith, Lyman Burdick and Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hancock. A large crowd from here attended at-tended the Stake Gold and Green Ball at Altamont Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Goodrich entertained at their home Saturday Satur-day evening in honor of Max Owen who is leaving for the service. ser-vice. Mr; and Mrs. Floyd Goodrich and two children of Provo, were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Gardner Goodrich and family and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Seeley Saturday Satur-day and Sunday. LaVar ' Stanfield and two children bf Price spent Saturday and Sunday visiting Mrs. Stan-fields Stan-fields parents, Mr and Mrs. Isaac Bird. . Miss Mary Stevenson of Roosevelt Roose-velt spent a few days here visiting visit-ing relatives. She returned to her work Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warren and daughters, Wilma, Connie and Karren of Salem and Miss Emma Lee Brady of Bridgeland spent Sunday here visiting with friends and taking care of some business. Mr. and Mrs. Claud Mathews took their daughter, Erdria, to Vernal Saturday where she was operated on for appendicitis. This is their second daughter to be operated on in the past month. Jay and Lorraine Mecham returned re-turned to their home in Ioka after spending the past ten days with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Mathews. They are the children of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Mecham. . A surprise party was given Monday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wathen for their, son, Elder Victor Wathen, who has ..just recently returned from the Southern States Mission. Miss-ion. An enjoyable evening was spent by the following: Jeanne, La'Rene, Norman and Kenneth Goodrich, Norma, Donna and Dwane Hancock, Delores Droll-inger, Droll-inger, Rea Carter, Betty Lou eley.
