Show Myton City flews Section Pvt. Arthur Brine of Vernal, son of Ed Brine and Mrs. Carrie Parker, is spending his furlough with his parents. He received a furlough through the Red Cross to visit his father who is very ill in Vernal. Arthur has been in the Aleutian Islands. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Martin received word from War Department Depart-ment that their nephew, Pvt. Frank Johanson, was reported 'lost at sea." Frank has been serving in the European Theater of War. Miss Jeanne Walker of Salt Lake City was visiting her Aunt and Uncle, Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish last week. Mrs. Bessie Barton has moved hark tn Duchesne. She has been employed as a cook at the mine this winter. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Partridge are moving back to the mine Sunday. - Home On Furlough Pfc. Arvil Gillan of Camp Clayhourn, La., was visiting with Mr. Mrs. Dempsil Hemphill Hemp-hill over this week end. Arvel went to Murray to visit until time to report for duty. Mr. and Mrs. James Sweat received re-ceived word that their son, Cpl. Lloyd Sweat, is now able to re-. re-. turn to duty. The annual picnic and business busi-ness meeting of the Presbyterian church was held March 26th. Mrs. R. T. Bonnin of Roosevelt and Mrs. S. A. of Vernal accompanied accom-panied the Reverand and Mrs. J. W. Hailwood. T-Sgt. and Mrs. Kirk Benson and Mrs. Merril Benson of Roosevelt were visiting Kirk's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Forsythe Tuesday of last week. Robert Wells visited Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris Tuesday en-route en-route to Vernal where he is em-. em-. ployed. Fredrick Musser was a dinner guest at the Preece home Sunday. Sun-day. M. C. Adams went to Provo Wednesday where he received dental care. Mrs. Frank Adams accompanied her brother, Sherman Sher-man and Mr. Adams to Provo. They attended business and visited visit-ed Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. Rust. Mrs. Stanley Nebeker has been ill but is improving. W. J. Bond and Miss Anna Stark were visiting the school Friday. Mrs. Emma Tanner got home Friday from Salt Lake where she has' been with her son, Albert, Al-bert, for the past two months. Mrs. Dempsil Hemphill returned return-ed home Friday from Salt Lake where she has been receiving dental care and visiting friends. The Misses Carma and Reva Christenson went to Salt Lake Saturday. Paul Eggleston went to Salt Lake Saturday to visit his parents par-ents who are employed in Salt Lake City. Syerl Dennis and Leonard Harris Har-ris returned home last week. They have been working at Carbon Car-bon county. Mrs. Rose Englesbee was a visitor at the L. A. Potter ranch over the week end. Fred and John Goodrich of Bluebell were visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hancock Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shisler of Roosevelt were visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hancock Han-cock Thursday. Mary Wero Savage went to Ft Duchesne on business Sunday. Nellie Pike and baby of Ft. Duchesne have been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pranke, the past two weeks. Jennie (Nick) Buck of Poca-tello, Poca-tello, Idaho, is visiting friends and a brother, Johnnie Nick and family of Whiterocks. ' Mr. and Mrs Acel Bingham of Layton were visiting and taking care of business over the week end. Mrs. LaVar Dennis is at Provo taking care of her sister, Mrs. Morris Peterson, who has a new baby born March 24. Miss Bette Roth of Vernal was a guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Koehler last week. Mr. and Mrs. John Nielson and four children were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry Saturday Satur-day and Sunday. Don Felter rushed his wife to the hospital at Vernal Saturday where she was operated on for appendicitis. She is doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Leavitt and two children are visiting Mrs. Leavitt's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Lydell this week. Mrs. Lydia Peatross is ill. The Red Cross met Monday to finish the work they had on hand. Mr. and Mrs. George Roth of Vernal were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kohler. Mrs. Eda Wallace of Meeker, Colorado, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Milner. Dr. and Mrs. R. C. Dalgleish and daughter, Anne, and Mrs. Alex Gibson of Salt Lake were visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish Dal-gleish Thursday. Mrs. Eva Gingell is helping at the hot lunch kitchen while Mrs. Lydia Peatross is ill. Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Pierson, Mrs. Emil Munz and Mrs. Ralph Rowley were visiting here Monday. Mon-day.
