Show ALTONAH Mrs. Wm Snyder gave a shower show-er Wednesday at the ward hall for Sgt. and Mrs. Robert Snyder. There was the following program: pro-gram: trio, "Mellow Mountain Moon." by Alberta Beebe, Mrs. Mary Lou Jessen and Mrs. Georgia Geor-gia Shiner: jokes, Mrs. Ethel Becbc; piano duet, Mrs. Elva Snyder and Miss Arlene Snyder. Mrs. Ida Conklin was in charge of the games'; Ice cream and cookies were served and many useful and beautiful gifts were received by the young couple. . Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rochell went to Kaysville Sunday, to visit Mr. Rochell's mother who is very ill. Mrs. Rochel stayed in Kaysville to take care of her mothcr-in-law. Mrs. Clyde Lambert returned home last week from Provo where she has been receiving medical treatment. Mrs. Brig Stevenson and Mrs. Lorin Stevenson of Mt Home attended the shower of Sgt. and Mrs. Robert Snyder Wednesday. George Mecham left last week for Salt Lake City to visit for some time. Drue Allred was a , Vernal visitor Tuesday. Miss Dorothy Brotherson of Boneta was an over night guest of Fay Barton Thursday. Bishop Glen Mohlman and Wm. W. Snyder left Thursday to attend conference in Salt Lake. Mrs. Iva Taylor of Roy, Utah, spent a few days with her brother, broth-er, Ed Olsen and her sons Lyle and Jack. Von Timothy accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Fay Prows to. Price last week. Reay Jessen is employed at the Calder Brothers creamery. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Anderson were in Vernal on business Tuesday. ' Ernest Morrison and Mrs. Karma Swindle from the F.F.A. office at Roosevelt were Altonah visitors Friday. Mr. and Mrs . Wayne Powell returned home Thursday to start farming, after working in Tooele last winter. Mr. and Mrs. Lott Powell were Roosevelt visitors Friday, Mrs. Nova Turnbow returned home Friday from visiting her sailor husband in California. Len McGarry of Salt Lake Cily was visiting at the McGarry ranch Saturday, Mrs. John Anderson returned home Saturday from a business trip to Paonia, Colorado. "Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bowden of the Bonanza mine spent the week end at the home of Mrs. Mary Bowden. Miss Florence Lambert, who is employed in Salt Lake City spent a week visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Lambert, she returned to the city Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Marian Berrett and son returned to Tooele Friday. Fri-day. He reported for the army Monday. Miss Afton Berrett accompanied them to visit for a few days. Clyde Murray who is working at Hillfield spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James B. Murray. Miss Nada Maxfield, Mrs. Maxine Holman, , Miss Arlene Snyder, Beverley Timothy, Tim-othy, Rex Fowler, Ray Lambert, Kay Timothy and Homer Weeks. Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett gave a family dinner Thursday night in honor of their son, Mar-, lan who left for the army Monday. Mon-day. M.r. and Mrs. Clyde Fietkau and daughter of Salt Lake City were visiting over the week end l with Mrs. Fietkau's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Allred. Mr Fietkau is to report for army service this month. -Mrs. Jean Fisher gave a party last week in honor of her son, Ray's first birthday. Card games were played and refreshments refresh-ments were served to Mrs. Leslie Les-lie Barker and daughter, Mrs. Lucy Watterson and son, Mrs. Nina Boswell end son, Mrs. Mary Lou Jessen and daughter, Mrs. Doris Christensen, Miss Florence Lambert and Mrs Donna Iorg and daughter of Mt Emmons. Mrs. George Berrett, Mrs. Richard Clark, Miss Naydean Johnson and George Berrett Jr. were Duchesne visitors Friday. |
