Show Myton City Hews Section Clayton Dennis, Charlie P. Dowling left for Salt Lake to go in the Armed forces. 'Gold and Green Ball The MIA Gold and Green ball was held Friday night at the school gym. Miss June Nan-'jia Nan-'jia Snyder was crowned queen 'and Neal Murray, king. Gail Peterson of the U S Navy and Larrell Lcc Howell in a formal lead the march. Eight girls danced the square dance. The rest of the time was spent in dancing. Mrs. Grace Dalgleish. State president and Mrs. Gladys Har-, Har-, ris president of Wm. Sands l bost No. 5 and secretary, Mrs, Otto Hemphill, went to Salt Lake City Sunday to meet the National Presitent of the Le-gion Le-gion Auxiliary. They attended a f" banquet and meet at the New s House hotel Monday. Band Concert X ' Myton was honored by the Du-: Du-: ehesne band Wednesday. They teave a half hour concert. Fcr-,rin Fcr-,rin Van Wagoner, band leader 'and 50 members were served 'dinner at the lunch kitchen. Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis served a family dinner Sunday in honor of Kay. N j Miss Beatrice Hawkins was a dinner guest at the Crapo home Sunday. x Mrs. James Sweat went to 12 Heber Friday to visit her sister, Mrs. Mary Duke and to consult a doctor. 'l Mrs. Jennie Tuttle came home . fWednesd.ay from Salt Lake. Mrs. Darlene Thompson of Salt Lake City was visiting her mother, Mrs. Rose Inglcsbe last week. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Dennis have been visfting Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis the past week. L. A. Potter went to Salt Lake Friday to see a doctor. Pie came home Saturday and reported he was getting along nicely. Tony Kampas came from Pro-vo Pro-vo Saturday and moved his family fam-ily back Sunday. He is working at the Geneva Steel plant. . Miss Mona Francin came home Sunday from Roosevelt She has been staying with her cousin, Mrs. Joy Killian for the past three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Roberts and family were visiting over the week end with her mother, Mrs. Lydia Peatross, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peatross. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd v Lamb took their grand daughter, Patty Pat-ty to Provo to meet her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Peterson. Patty has been visiting at the Lamb home the past five weeks. Mrs. Merle Jennings and Mrs. Rex Lamb left for Centerville, Utah, Tuesday. Mrs. Jennings received re-ceived word her father, S. P. Jcnson, 76, passed away Monday Mon-day with heart trouble. His wife was buried ;ust three weeks ago. Mrs. Carrie Parker purchased the Kampas home near the school house. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Wash were visiting in Ft. Duchesne over ov-er the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Felter and family of Roosevelt were visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Pax-man Pax-man Sunday. |
