Show ' y&s&ss&sss&ssBs BLUEBELL County Nurse Mrs. Nina Ludlow Lud-low and Dr. Miles were inoculating inoculat-ing for typhoid and vaccinating for small pox at the ward hall on Thursday. Hosea Lisonbee was rushed to the Roosevelt hospital on Wednesday Wed-nesday morning at 5 a. m. He is suffering from pneumonia and is very ill. Mr. and Mrs. Mont Williams have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. L. Lisonbee this week. Mr. Williams is working in this part of the country. Mrs. Ida Stanficld returned to her home at Price on Saturday. Miss Iva Bird accompanied her there to stay with her sister while her husband is in the armed arm-ed forces. Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell received a phone call from Carl Powell 2-c P. M. at Seattle, Washington. Carl is a Y M S. He stated he was well and was just waiting for his ship to sail again. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hancock and Duane and Brent left on Saturday Sat-urday to attend the funeral of Mrs. Martha Johnson, mother of Mrs. Albert Hancock at Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove on Sunday. Mrs. Johnson was well known by a number of people here in Bluebell. Blue-bell. Mrs. Martha Thorscn received a package and note from the air on Teusday. Her brother, Otto Johnsen, Jr., of Duchesne was the sender. He was flying around over their home when he dropped drop-ped the package and note from the plane he was flying in. Martha Mar-tha was as thrilled to receive the package as Otto was to drop it. Pilot was unknown. Word comes that Miss LaWana Murray is recovering nicely from her operation of the bone at the L D S hospital and might be permitted to return to her home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warren of Salem announce the arrival of a baby boy, born March 30th. The Warrens are former residents resi-dents of here. Bishop Bernard Winkler attended at-tended conference at Salt Lake City this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Burdick left on Friday for Payson to visit Mrs. Burdick's mother who is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Johnson and children and Miss Elizabeth Lindsay of Duchesne were Sunday Sun-day guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Thorsen. Harold Warren and Wilma. Newell and Aur of Salem were in Bluebell on Sunday and Monday Mon-day taking care of business matters. mat-ters. Evan Goodrich took Mr. and Mrs. Bernis Bristol of Heber on Monday after a load of cattle for Mr. Bristol. Miss Betty Lou Seeley and Donna Hancock returned to Salt Lake City Monday to continue their studies at the L D S business busi-ness college after visiting here with their parents for a week. Little Jimmie Seeley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Afton Seeley is here visiting his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Seeley while his mother is in California with her navy husband. Mr. and Mrs. Fuller Merrill and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Merrill of Vernal were visiting Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Orie Cook and Mr. and Mrs. L. Lisonbee. |
