Show SXSXSX5XSXSXSX5XSS! MT. HOME Miss Alice Anderson Ferron Thayne, who has served with the United States Navy for the past two years, returned home Sunday. His cousin, Jimmy Ide of California, accompanied him home for a short visit with relatives here. Arthur West made a business trip to Salt Lake City last week. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lindsay and family went to Heber Wednesday, Wednes-day, where their young daughter is to receive medical attention. Miss Jean Bleazard of Salt Lake spent a few days here visiting visi-ting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dclbert Bleazard. Bernice and Minni Farnswo-rth, Farnswo-rth, who are woyking near Salt Lake, arrived here Friday for a two week vacation. A shower was given in honor of Mrs. Tommy Meriweather Thursday by Mrs. Rue Miles.th bride's mother. The bride received recei-ved many beautiful gifts. A delicious de-licious luncheon was served to approximately sixty guests. The Mtn. Home 4-H Club held its second meeting Friday. The afternoon was spent learning learn-ing to darn stockings correctly. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Anderson and family, Miss Elaine Stevenson, Steven-son, and Miss Janet Lindsay attended at-tended the show "Smokey" in Roosevelt Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Harman and daughter, Shirley of Salt Lake, spent the weekend at the home of Mrs. Harman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Farnsworth. A number of people from here attended the reception at Talmage Friday night for Mr. and Mrs. Wade Black who were married recently in the Salt Lake temple, Mrs. Melissa Kofford of Al-tonah Al-tonah and her sister-in-law,the former Miss Lenora Housekeeper Housekeep-er of Idaho, visited friends here Sunday. Mrs. Kofford reports that her husband is not very well. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Farns worth and family spent Sunday at Rock Creek. Miss. Ramona Stewart, Miss Iris Lou McConkie, Junior Bleazard, Blea-zard, Ned Lyons, Ray Lindsay and Johnny Richards were in Dushesne Tuesday. A dance was held at the Alta Loma Park Saturday night to choose a queen from seven of the smaller towns to represent them at the 4th of July celebration celebra-tion at Neola, and at the 24th of 'July celebration at Altamont. 1 Miss Joyce Anderson was chosen Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Corbin of Altonah were in town on their way to the Peterson Sawmill where Mr. Corbin is employed. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Richard were weekend guests of Mr.and Mrs. Verlyn Stewart at- Moon Lake. I The following young people enjoyed a party at the home of Ramona Stewart Sunday night: Iris Lou McConkier Stella Rowley, Row-ley, Elouise Porrrfge, Alice Anderson, An-derson, Junior Bleazard, Ned Lyons, Ray, George and Guy Lindsay and Johnny Richards. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jessen and William Jessen of Boneta visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Alexander Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lindsay and family were shopping in Roosevelt Saturday, while there they attended the show. |
