Show Candidate iiiiiilj Rose Marie Brokaw, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Brokaw of Myton, is one of 24 girls from high schools in Utah, Idaho, Nevada Ne-vada and Wyoming entered in the Ogden Pioneer Days Sweetheart Sweet-heart contest to be held in Ogden July 12. Girls entered in the race were chosen on the basis of scholarship, scholar-ship, personality and horsemanship horseman-ship by their graduating class. The candidate scoring the highest high-est points at th6 Ogden contest will be acclaimed Sweetheart of the Range, and will reign over Ogden's nationally known celebration cel-ebration July 19-24 Winner of the contest will receive re-ceive a $200 western outfit and will be widely feted during the celebration period. As a reward, she will be offered a two-year scholarship to Weber College at Ogden, or, as an alternative, an all expense-paid trip to Yellowstone Yellow-stone national park, or one of Utah's parks. If the trip is choos-cn choos-cn over the scholarship, the expenses ex-penses of her chaperone will also be paid by the celebration. Miss Brokaw is a 1946 graduate grad-uate of the Roosevelt high school. |
