Show School Doings ROOSEVELT HIGH The Yearbook staff presented a unique assembly last Friday afternoon featuring a "hidden talent" program. Appearing were students, -who, although in some instances had taken part in previous pre-vious assembly offerings, had not before displayed thesc-particular talents. At a Senior Class meeting hole Wednesday it was decided that for graduation this year the girls would wear white caps and gowns, and the boys blue. Members of the Senior Class enjoyed roller skating party at Victory Park Thursday night. Junior Class members met last Friday and ordered sweaters for their senior year. The school turned out enmasse Friday to attend the Roosevelt-Duchesne Roosevelt-Duchesne basketball game and victory dance. ROOSEVELT ELEMENTARY 6th Grade On January 13 the 6th grade Jr. Police conducted con-ducted a meeting attended-by members of the 5th grade. Rules of the school were discussed. Formation of a girls' and boys' basketball team were also topics of discussion, 5th Grade Class officers for this year are Quin Corbridge, president; Jimmy Tolcr, vice president; Nancy Rockwood, secretary. All 5th grade students returned return-ed after Christmas vacation with the exception qf Marietta Mc-Pherson, Mc-Pherson, who, with her family, has moved to Myton. The class geography has been making clay relief maps of the eastern half of the U. S. We've even made little clay ships to sail on the lakes and rivers. English work is much more fun since Miss Stark supplied us with some very nice dictionaries. In art we have made January calendars to take home. Most of them had snow pictures, buU -Karalyn.Smith painted a summer scene on hers. Some of the boys have made some pretty nice airplanes, air-planes, and Phil Thompson made a saddle of real leather. Gary Jensen and Dick Wardle did some very nice work in making our December murals. Maurinc Ivory is our librarian and does a good job of looking after the reading table and ft-" brary books. Nancy Rockwood presented the class with a lovely Christmas tree. |
