Show Legionnaires To Gather Here For District Confab Delegates from fifteen American Ameri-can Legion posts in Carbon, Emery, Em-ery, Grand, San Juan, Duchesne and Uintah .counties will assemble assem-ble at Roosevelt for their annual fall convention on Sunday, November No-vember 28. The delegates will receive a report from Department Depart-ment Commander Franklin D. Riter on the proceedings of the national convention held recently recent-ly in Miami, Florida. A school for service officers of the posts will be presided over by A. S. Horsley, state service officer, where veterans administration adminis-tration procedures and veterans rights under the present laws will be imparted to post service personnel. The American Legion program for the year 1948-49 will be implemented im-plemented and coordinated to insure in-sure a bigger and better year in Legiondom. Legionnaires who are not delegates del-egates are cordially invited to attend. The convention will be presided over by Stewart L. Ashton, Vernal, district commander, com-mander, District No. 5, The American Legion Department of Utah. The day's sessions will be held in the American Legion barracks at Roosevelt with Basin Post 64 acting as host. A record attendance attend-ance of both delegates and visitors visit-ors is expected. |
