Show south stake C conf nece held sunday stephen L richards represents general church authorities at monroe elder stephen L richards represented the general church authorities ties at a well attended quarterly conference of the south sevier stake which was held saturday and sunday at the M L I 1 A pavilion in monroe A priesthood session was held saturday evening for which local speakers included F levi of sevier jay jensen of elsinore J Y of monroe alma S edwards of joseph bliss daniels aels of annabella arthur C lundgreen of monroe a member of the stake presidency and dan larsen and guy jensen of monroe at a meeting of all ward and stake welfare workers albert 0 engar gave a report sunday morning of the projects being handled in the stake A general discussion followed president H roland conducted the general sessions sunday for which the monroe north ward junior girls chorus directed by mrs lyle asay with miss elenore jensen as accompanist furnished music in the forenoon and the north ward choir also directed by mrs asay furnished music in the afternoon C A winget gave the opening prayer at the sunday morning session and the program included a talk by arthur C lundgreen of the stake presidency a report on M I 1 A activities by the stake Y M M I 1 A superintendent rulon and the stake Y W M I 1 A president mrs glyde webb angus newby stake mission president reported missionary activities in the stake following which elder richards talked on the subject the priesthood A perfect plan of service the benediction was by jam james s brown speakers at the afternoon session besides elder richards were e C A white of the stake p presidency r sa s1 i president I 1 H 1 roland heber stake e sunday school superintendent and mrs verd hansen stake primary president three selections were vere sung by the choir mrs dan ogden of richfield sang the lord Is my light and a girls trio directed by mrs lillian jensen sang teach me to pray general and stake autho authorities cities were presented by W 0 lundgreen stake clerk and sustained opening and closing prayers were by john of annabella and G A staples of central rulon stake superintendent in conducted the M 1 I A conference program sunday evening in the monrae south ward chapel the conference theme was life enrichment 11 through spirituality community singing was conducted by mrs gordon christensen A choral reading of the M 1 I A theme was given by a chorus of 60 girls from the monroe junior high school the girls also sang two numbers 0 rest in the lord and come ever smiling liberty talks on the physical spiritual and intellectual aspects pertaining to the general theme were given by three le em inary students dorothy ridd duane washburn and mcrae cloward CI oward jonathan S cannon prud fm i inary n a teacher e a cher gave the concluding c I 1 u d i n g address r ess |
