Show student art announced fifteen pictures from the fourth annual young america paints exhibition hibi tion recently shown in new york city will be displayed in the offices of the sevier district board of education monday arid and tuesday december 4 and 5 affording an interesting comparison there will also be displayed 15 13 pictures painted by students of the richfield elementary school the exhibit will be open from 9 a in to 5 p in each day and will be free to the public the same exhibit will be shown at the monroe schools wednesday and thursday december 6 and 7 and at the salina schools on friday december 8 the pictures from the new york exhibition were shown in the education hall of the american museum of natural history as part of a display of more than 1000 paintings nain tings b by school children from public private and parochial choals throughout the united states and canada the exhibition received the acclaim of the public the press and especially of visiting art teachers from many cities units from it are now being beina shown throughout the country the pictures to be seen in the visiting exhibits cover a diversity of subjects from scenes of current contests to imaginative scenes d designs and abstractions revealing rp the coffon unspoken thoughts of the child the media used is as varied as the subjects and includes water color fr escol finger paint tempera chalk and crayon cravon the exhibit will vill be displayed under linder the direction of miss elizabeth br beth fh district elementary supervisor |
