| Show FOH I 1 annual school for officials directed here saturday by dave mitchell the annual school for basketball officials was held here saturday in conjunction with the meeting of coaches at which the schedules for the north and south sevier districts were made examinations were given 13 prospective officials aa who will handle the high school games of the district by dave mitchell secretary of the high school athletic association after he had explained changes in the rules and discussed difficult problems that may co confront the officials those taking the examinations included the following earl jolley vivian adair and arnold adair of tropic L L smith and J L nelson of salina clinton chidester and jay K taft of dick bick nall rollo fullmer of circleville Cir cleville wendell 11 rigby of monroe basil lay of marysvale Marys vale harry A green clifton A reese and paul G packard of richfield although the coaches discussed the merits of dividing the sevier district differently than it has been in the past they voted to continue playing the schedule in the same manner the district is divided to reduce the traveling the round robin tourney between the winners vin ners and runner sup in each division will be held march 12 and 13 at monroe to determine the state tourney entry the north sevier district will vill not start play until january 22 when salina goes to monroe and richfield to bicknell the southern group will start on january 8 with tropic at escalante the north sevier schedule january 22 salina at monroe richfield at bicknell january 29 richfield at monroe bicknell at salina february 5 salina at richfield monroe at bicknell february 12 richfield at salina bicknell at monroe february 1 19 9 M monroe onroe at richfield salina at bicknell february 26 monroe at salina bicknell at richfield |
