Show Will Address Chamber i i r Stan Elmer, Bountiful resident and coordinator of planning efforts on Great Salt Lake for the Division of State Lands and Forestry, will address the luncheon meeting of Bountiful Area Chamber of Commerce Com-merce at noon March 20 at the Ser-vus Ser-vus Drug Pine Room, 55 N. Main, Bountiful. . ELMER WILL discuss a strategic strate-gic plan for Great Salt Lake, outlining outlin-ing rationale for recommendations to protect critical health and safety facilities and to influence its fluctuating fluc-tuating levels. He recently compiled com-piled a plan incorporating information, informa-tion, suggestions, ideas and proposals prop-osals from the Board of State Lands and Forestry, the Great Salt Lake Advisory Council, Great Salt Lake Tech Team, Division of Water Wa-ter Resources, private consultants, county officials, representatives of lake industries and interested citizens. To obtain information, Elmer meets with many groups and helps provide perspective for decisionmakers decision-makers to resolve problems and capitalize on opportunities. HE HAS BEEN chairman or served on many permanent and ad hoc committees including Great Salt Lake Tech Team, BLM State Advisory Board, Bureau of Reclamation Recla-mation Central Utah Project Environmental En-vironmental Evaluation Group, Pacific Southwest Interagency Committee and Bountiful City Citizens Goals Committee. An outdoorsman, Elmer spends much time in the mountains of Utah. He is an avid photographer and watercolor artist. He and his wife JoAnne have lived in Bountiful Bounti-ful for 17 years. He holds a bachelor bache-lor of Fine Arts degree in architecture architec-ture and a graduate certificate in regional planning from the University Univer-sity of Utah. |
