bylaws for their organization mr and mrs airs arnold jensen and mrs caroline Sa dberg returned home monday night from spokane washington where they had been visiting relatives they also made trips to places of scenic interest in the northwest during their two weeks vacation mr and mrs airs E H street and daughter arline left this morning for salt lake where they will attend the state fair among the students enrolled at the B Y U are miss sylvia anderson miss anna lou greenwood miss marjorie Seeg maurice fuellenbach and grant peterson mr and mrs junior dixon arrived here monday from green river and expect to make richfield their home mr air dixon will operate a meat market in connection with Christen sens new store when it is completed mr and mrs gail jensen and sons bob and garr garry y of manti spent saturday and sunday here as guests of mrs J B allen alien mrs hanmer E peterson and son bobby went to salt lake monday to visit relatives while there they will attend the state fair and conference for which mr air peterson and lowell another son will join them uie the last of the week mrs E G gowans of salt lake is visiting her son in law and daughter mr and mrs henry E beal mr and mrs airs C J sumner went to salt lake sunday expecting to stay in the city most of the time while their son scharf attends the university of utah mr and mrs airs C P christensen went to provo sunday taking their daughter maza there to continue her studies at the B Y U miss mae christensen accompanied them and will ill stay for some time in provo and salt lake the misses gertrude and katherine christensen attended the opening socia lat snow college last week mrs parley poulson and so son n dahl went to salt lake the last of the week to take miss elaine poulson there to attend the U 0 of f U among the richfield students registered at the U of U the bill warner wamer dick hansen chad goodin hogarth barton henry bates and carlyle hunt mr and mrs reed thurston accompanied compa nied by mr and mrs sterling evans of provo spent the weekend in salt lake attending the state fair g mrs leona taylor and her daughter mrs charles reynolds of new york left for their homes friday after having visited mrs taylors uncle and aunt mr and mrs M C nelson they stopped here en route to their home from california dr and mrs D B gottfredson dr and mrs L A poulson ana and mr and mrs C R card returned home sunday from st louis where they attended the national convention of the american legion and auxiliary of special interest to utah auxiliary members was the fact that utah was one of the eight states to receive the mccrae membership award for the auxiliary which was accepted for the state by the state president mrs ray ashton the outstanding social affair of the convention was the states dinner given by the national auxiliary in the beautiful gold and crystal room of the hotel jefferson and featured by gorgeous decorations the event which derives its name from the fact that delegates from each state have a table representative of their state all business of the convention was of a national character and known from reports in the state papers the richfield delegates included Include din in their tour a boat trip down the mississippi river nver and on their return spent some time in denver the cards visited mr cards mother and sister in denver miss alta thurber returned last week after having spent a month at fillmore where she was employed in the fillmore branch of the RicK Held commercial savings bonk bank mrs airs M L done and daughter priscilla rae visiting at the home of her son in law and daughter mr and mrs T A nelson mrs A K hansen is in provo for a few days visit percy wallace and clarence isbell returned wednesday from idaho falls where they had gone to attend the funeral of a niece mrs ruth kearney a daughter of mr and mrs ryon isbell former residents of richfield 0 R was among those to greet president franklin D roosevelt when he made a short stay in salt lake sunday president and mrs E W poulson with members of the sevier stake relief society board left wednesday for salt lake to attend the general conference of the L D S church president and mrs F M ogden and bishop and mrs airs alex jensen are also leaving to attend the sessions president and mrs T R gledhill and the stake clerk IV A and mrs will leave frid friday ay and remain until after the sunday sessions horace gunn of richfield an and d clifford mangum of bicknell were recently elected president and vice vi ce president of the agricultural club clu b of the B A C at cedar city cit Y both students have been outstanding at the college during the past year mr gunn did excellent work on the debating squad mr air mangum in addition to his work in agriculture will be the regular center on the football team mrs george E powell visited her son in law and daughter mr air and mrs tillman nelson of redmond mrs lyman parker returned from provo monday evening while there she has been taking care of her nephew wayne roundy who was quite seriously injured in a car wreck several weeks ago he is now recovering covering rc nicely mrs tennessee smith and mrs arthur whittaker of circleville Cir cleville were weekend visitors tord of dr and mrs J T G mrs chris madsen left today for salt lake to attend conference and to visit relatives mrs R S bell and mrs F H lowe went to salt lake this week to attend conference state fair howard parker and parley janssen of salt lake were guests of miss phebe pace sunday they were accompanied home by miss mary parker of salt lake who had spent the past week at the pace home fred dunn who has been employed at the safeway stores in richfield as first salesman has haa been transferred to the park city store of the
