Show washington WILL BE WITH MEMORIAL SERVICE richfield city clubs and the high school to participate following a call made by mayor W L warner in behalf of the city of richfield representatives of the richfield high school and several civic and fraternal organizations met monday afternoon in the city offices to discuss an appropriate prop celebration for the bicentennial of the birth of the father of the country the city and the high school will cooperate in arranging a fitting memorial be participated in by all the people of richfield on monday afternoon ter noon february 22 there were represented at the meeting the city by mayor warner the high school by don E kenney and ernest hansen the commercial club by W B pace the lions club by H af Rich fields music interests by H D christensen the B P W club bv miss alta thurber hiram lodge no 12 F A M by dr al markus and richfield lodge no 29 9 1 I 0 0 F by bf M C nelson at t the next meeting it is expected that also captain J R barker representing battery E and mrs lottie andreason president of the richfield study club will be present and partake in the definite arrangements range ments the committee organized by electing mayor warner wamer chairman and mr air hansen secretary A tentative program was outlined to consist of band selections community singing an oration by a prominent out of town speaker vocal selections and a patriotic reading dr markus mr pace and mr kenney were appointed a sub subcommittee committee to decide on the final program and to report to the next meeting to be held monday february 8 another su subcommittee sub b committee cb charged arged with decorating the main auditorium of the stake tabernacle where the services are to be held will consist of miss thurber captain barker and mr It asmussen who shall have authority to enlist as many assistants as the case may warrant |
