Show amo FEEDERS ay AT MONROE WILL kt FRIDAY four years of experiments reveal interesting data lamb feeders day in monroe was observed friday with approximately sheep men and students of agriculture attending the activities of the day which were conducted in accordance with a schedule previously announced in the reaper the occasion marked the completion of the experiment conducted at monroe the past four years at the experiment station and at a meeting held in the afternoon various problems of sheep men were discussed and addresses pertaining to the industry were given speakers included lewis W jones monroe P V cardon director of the utah state agricultural college experiment station kenneth C ikeler manager of the ogden union stockyards stock yards dr E G peterson president of the U S A C E J maynard head bead of the animal husbandry department of the he college and W H olin representative of the denver rio grands grande western railroad mr air murdock who had charge of experimental feeding the past year mr bueler who conducted the experiments in previous years and S R boswell county agent dan larsen acted as chairman at the meeting music was furnished by the high high school music department the experiments in feeding f e e d i n g lambs which have been conducted under direction of the monroe lamb feeders association the utah state agricultural college experiment peri ment station and the county agent have disclosed some interesting data relative to feeding lambs outlines of the results were given in detail to sheep men mell who visited the station friday it was of interest to note that experiments peri ments have shown that the lambs thrive best when fed a combination of alfalfa grain and molasses from sugar beets and that the slowest growth is registered among the lambs fed on ground barley needless to say the lamb sandwiches served at noon by the monroe lamb feeders association were greatly relished and the crowd also enjoyed the basketball game and dance which concluded the days events |
