Show relatives from richfield attend funeral at provo prove funeral services were held at provo wednesday for A F acord husband of millie seeg miller acord who was killed in an automobile accident in daniels canyon early friday morning among the people in attendance at the services were several relatives from richfield mr and mrs W A evan mrs leon hall mr air and mrs R T thurber mr and mrs marion and mr and mrs chariton according to reports received here mr acord a real estate man and manager of a summer sum mer camp near strawberry in company with george al nuttall of provo was en route to the summer camp when the accident occurred in in daniels canyon the accident was caused by the car skidding in the loose gravel both occupants were pinned under the car when it overturned and were rendered unconscious A short time later nuttall managed manage ito to extricate tr 1 cate himself and walked a mile to the coop co op creek road camp where he roused men to aid in the rescue of the driver in the meantime earl and ben johnson of roosevelt had bad found the car turned over by the side of the dugway and attempted to lift it from accords body they were unable to do so and hitched a rope from their car to the overturned auto lifting the latter enough to get the body out they then took the body and nuttall who had arrived with the road workers to heber city reaching there at 4 a m the sheriff county attorney coroner justice of the peace and three jurors were taken to the scene of the accident and a coroners inquest was held accords body showed no bruises or cuts and it was decided the weight of the car had crushed the life from his body A F acord was born bom in spring city may 5 1873 he married millie alillie of richfield and moved to provo 25 years ago his widow and four children survive estelle erma and max of provo and floyd of california brothers and sisters surviving are mrs jeanette al hyde U S internal revenue col collector i ector at honolulu T H oliver acord of california henry L of spring city alon alonzo z 0 0 of f salt lake and mrs elizabeth beck of provo |
