Show what cloudbursts did to several of Rich fields farmers ervin N jensen and peter jorgensen came to the reaper office saturday referring to the news item we published in last weeks issue regarding the damage done by the cloudbursts on july 27 in which it was stated that the good done by the heavy rain was in excess of the damage caused by floods they stated that at least as far as they are concerned the damage done was wa s quite heavy mr jensen says he 1 ost lost most of his alfalfa his beets and potatoes and he estimates t the he damage at about mr jorgensen claims a loss of several hundred dollars through spoiling of his hay wheat potato and beet crops the flood waters also entered his cellar and his house and he lost quite an amount of meat and fruits that he had preserved for the winter both visitors also named the following as hit quite badly frank M ogden claud jeppson claud jensen walter jensen C J sumner ammon nielson alfred jensen G W coons joseph christensen emory christensen en and john jensen most of the properties where the flood did damage are situated under the so called flat canyon |
