| Show VENICE SCHOOL visitor ri mr payne one of our school board members visited our school wednesday morning november 4 he said our school was in a very good condition and we hope to keep it in a more perfect condition our ball team the venice junior high is practicing baseball and who ever we play with will have to hard to beat us armistice day program hurrah for armistice day said the sixth seventh and eighth grades in unison we the sixth seventh and eighth grades ades of venice had bad an armistice aa day program on armistice day we had a 1 good time and when it was out we went home and enjoyed a good nights rest increasing our library we wish to give the school board a hearty thanks for giving us the national geo geographic and it popular science magazines we are well pleased to have them and enjoy reading the material they contain science experiments the eighth grade science class has been performing some very interesting experiments about how to produce hydrogen and oxygen we find our science very interesting and enjoy it very much items from the newspaper the seventh and eighth grade civic welfare club lias h as to bring news articles to school which they have clipped from the newspaper thursday is the day we have set apart for our news clippings more illness miss carma shaw a student of the venice sixth grade ks is ill with a very bad cold we all wish her a speedy recovery and hope she will soon be back with us the stray pen prison where has hag my mir pencil disappeared to is the remark of many boys and girls in venice 1 I guess it has been picked up and put in the stray pen is the usual reply we have a stray pen in the venice school if you have an article in the stray pen you must forfeit a penny to redeem the article geography pamphlets the venice sixth grade is finishing their south american pamphlets we have gone over them and they were interesting some of the subjects were panama rubber pearls cocoa tagua nitrate peanuts and the city of rio de janeiro we enjoy them very much and we know that it has sih taught au it us many things regarding south america |
