Show HEN GROUSE HUNTING AUGUST 28 TO SEPTEMBER 5 mourning doves september 1 t to 0 5 season for quail and pheasants later state fish and game commissioner D H madsen under late date of august 4 published a proclamation announcing i ng that open season will be observed for sage liens hens and grouse from august 28 23 to september 5 and for mourning doves from september 1 to september 5 the bag limit for sage hens and grouse is 8 birds for doves 15 birds open season for quail and pheasants will be decided later the proclamation reads under the authority of section 27 chapter 36 laws of utah 1925 1923 1 I D H madsen state fish and game commissioner of the state of utah do hereby declare that the se season aso n during which sage liens hens and grouse may be legally killed in utah shall open on august and close on september ath provided that it shall be unlawful to hunt for or kill either sage age r hens or grouse on any state game preserve or in uintah emery carbon or iron counties or in in that portion of juab county lying east of the range of mountains separating separation sep aratin 9 nephi valley from dog valley and ferrier femer valley provided further that sage hens hem may not be legally shot in tooele thoele county the season on mourning doves shall open september and close on september bemb er 5 ath th in all counties of the state it shall be unlawful to kill in in one day or to have possession at any time more than eight sage hens or r more than eight grouse or more than eight sage hens and grouse it being intended hereby to prohibit the killing in one day or the having in in possession at any time of more than eight birds of either or both varieties it shall be lawful to have in possession or to kill in any one day not to exceed fifteen mourning doves in in addition to the limit prescribed for sage hens and grouse the limit of sage hens and grouse that may be legally taken during the season by any person shall be not to exceed twelve birds D H madsen state fish and game commissioner note any person hunting for any kind of game birds or animals within the state of utah is required by law lav to have in possession either a hunting license or a combination hunting and fishing license A fishing license does not permit the holder to hunt for any kind of game it is not lawful for any license agent to accept a fishing license in exchange for a hunting license nor to accept a fishing license and any sum less than for a combination license persons who have already purchased a fishing license must pay full price for any other license desired unlawful to shoot quail or pheasants during open season for sagle sage hens and grouse open season on these birds to be declared later |
