| Show IN MEET no FLOWER SHOW rostrum of second ward chapel almost too small for gorgeous display A stake relief society teachers convention was held in the second ward chapel tuesday afternoon in which a review of the summer work was given and plans were laid for the work to be done after a short summer vacation the stake authorities were represented by president john christensen in connection with the convention a flower show was held and the large rostrum of the second ward chapel was almost too small to hold all the beautiful flowers exhibited by every ward of the stake the exhibit was the concluding event of a flower campaign conducted and prizes for the best exhibits were awarded according to the decision rendered by the judges who were mrs sarah peterson sirs alm irene curtis and mrs laurette robinson the awards given aven were as follows first prize for mass quality and variety of specimens richfield first ward first prize for beauty and attractive arrangement of each individual bouquet richfield second ward first prize for attractive arrangement aran gement and size of each bouquet richfield third ward first prize for grouping of each color in separate bouquets glenwood ward first prize for quantity and group display of fragrant sweet peas venice ward first prize for largest and most artistic display of poppies koosharem Koo Koos sharem harein ward after the beautiful children of nature had been admired by the large crowd in attendance they were rearranged and F H king took a photo glach of the magnificent display |
