Show Palmcr-Christenscn Kxchanging marriage vows on Thursday, Sept. 6 in the Logan ' I. US Temple were the former Miss Lisa Palmer and L. Bruce Christ-ensen. Christ-ensen. The marriage ceremony ' was performed by Pres. Ralph Johnson. TIIF. BRIDE is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Palmer of Bountiful. Bounti-ful. The groom is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Val Christensen of Logan. A wedding breakfast held at the Sky Room of the Student Center on USU campus in Logan honored the couple and was hosted by the groom's parents. TIIK NKVVLYWEDS greeted guests at a garden reception that evening in Bountiful at the home of Udell and Avis Smith, an uncle and aunt of the bride. Helium filled balloons bal-loons of maroon, pink and pearl provided a festive touch to the reception. re-ception. An open house was hosted by the groom's parents on Sept. 7 in the Walnut Room of the Student Center on the USU Campus in Logan. The bride's gown had a drop-waist, drop-waist, beaded pearl bodice of lace ',( on satin with a sweetheart neck-" neck-" line. The full skirt and train was chiffonet over satin with double-edged double-edged lace, and French draped ' sleeves out of chiffonet. She also v' ' wore a small brimmed lace hat with ''' a veil. She carried a white orchid (; surrounded by pink roses. ' THE GROOM wore a black tux-"' tux-"' edo accented with white. Jill Palmer, the bride's sister, ,j: was maid of honor and wore a pink i;' mid-length dress of polyester-'-' ! cotton. She carried a spray of pink roses and carnations surrounding a '' white orchid. The mothers wore ': mid-length maroon dresses with orchid and pink rose corsages. 3 KENT Christensen, brother of j the groom, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Kevin, 3 Kyle, Brett and Lance Palmer, s brothers of the bride. All were dressed in black tuxedos. BRUCE CHRISTENSEN PRENUPTIAL parties were given by Jan Christensen aided by her daughters, Emily, Katie and Amanda; Norma June Schmutz and Suzanne Wilson; Avis Smith, Claudia Yardley and Zoeleone Petty; Ruth Ann Christensen, ! Valarie Olsen, Cara Christensen, Koralie Smith and Sherlyn Christensen; Christ-ensen; and Anna Ivie and Julie Peterson. The bride is an honor graduate of Bountiful High where she was active ac-tive in music and childrens theater. She has completed her junior year at Utah State University, majoring in business administration. THE GROOM is a graduate of Logan High School where he was active in music and sports. He filled fil-led an LDS mission to California and has completed his sophomore year at Utah State University, majoring ma-joring in computer science. He has been active in student government and served as chairman of STAB while at USU. After spending a week honeymooning honey-mooning at the Homestead, the couple is making their home in Logan where they will both be continuing con-tinuing their studies at Utah State. |
