Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Nielsen and j Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Lourtzen attended at-tended funeral services at Bounti-1 ful last week for Mrs. Lourtzen'5, sister. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Blackham and family were Salt Lake City visitors last week end. All the boys who have been picking pick-ing potatoes in Idaho have returned re-turned home. Harold Chri.stensn was sustained second councilor to Bishop ph-ralm ph-ralm Nelson in the West ward Sunday. Darrol Rasmussen formerly former-ly held this position but he has moved to Ephraim. This has been a bad week for the turkeys in town. About six car loads have been shipped out. The first beet check came to town Friday, November 11, a good celebration for Armistice day. The farmers are wearing broad smiles now. Howard Blackham has gone to Los Angeles, California with a truck load of turkeys to sell them there. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Storey of Heiner, Utah visited friends and relatives last week. They came to see William Storey who is very ill at his home. Mrs. Earnest McClellan of Pay-son Pay-son is visiting in Moroni this week. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Olsen announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Effle, to Mr. Ray Nielsen of Manti. A shower was given in their honor Wednesday night at the home of the bride's parents. They received many beautiful and useful gifts. Refreshments were served to sixty guests. Mr. and Mrs. James Meyrick, Jr. announce the birth of a baby boy born in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Meyrick was formerly Miss. Bernadean Hardy of this city. |
