Show i 1 i SPRING CITY j I By Special Correspondence Mrs. R. Strate received a telegram Saturday from Annapolis telling of the death of her grandson, Harry May. The young man was killed in an automobile accident in that city. Thomas Livingston has returned home after spending the past month visiting with his children in Salt Lake City. Miss Zora Allred is home from Salt Lake City for a short visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Allred. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rasmussen entertained a number and relatives and friends at dinner Saturday evening. eve-ning. The occasion was Mr. Ras-mu'-ssen birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Thompson of Ephraim anounce the birth of a baby boy. Mrs. Thompson is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Sorenson of this city. While her parents were attending the Parent-Teachers dance at the gymnasium, Nedra, the 10 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Berthelsen to badly burned on tho face and hands. A group of children were making candy at a neighbor's home when the candy Dan was upset, spilling the hot liquid over little Nedra. Dr. Winters Win-ters attended to the girl's burns. The four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Hope, had the misfortune to break her nose while at play last week. Paul Strate while on his way here from Eureka Sunday, met with an accident that might have been serious. seri-ous. He met in a headlong collision collis-ion with another automobile, but luckily he escaped unhurt. The Primary children will present pre-sent a play at the Victory Theatre Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Bisinger of Salt Lake were guests of Mrs. R. Strate Sunday. Mrs. A. C. Larsen has gone to Delta to visit with her son, Attorney A. L. Larsen and family. Arthur Nunleyhas gone to Salt Lake City, where he has employment. employ-ment. Mrs. Lester J.. Accord entertain; ed a number of small ,boy and girl friends of her daughter Virginia, Tuesday, in honor of the little girl's birthday. A welcome home party was given Saturday in honor of E. W. Watson, who labored as a missionary in the Hawaiin Islands for the past twenty-nine months. Charlie Beck celebrated his forty-sixth forty-sixth birthday anniversary Thursday, Thurs-day, March 13th. |
